Wonderful options for breakfast. The staff were exceptional throughout - highly professional and attentive. We especially appreciated Kate who was in charge of the lounge bar - she was very engaging, entertaining and made amazing cocktails!

we always love coming to Al Aqah
The staff are amazing and we love the location.
We ate at SENSAISA, Baribar and La Cucina and as always the food was very good.
the grounds and gardens and the beach are so lovely.

Al Aqah has a quite a long beach with ability of using it without checking in any hotel. Weather is always cooler then the remaining of the country. Area is right at the shore of Indian ocean while background has mountain views. Nightlife is quite poor - almost nothing other then family restaurants and a few bars. Perfect place for a short and quite get away.

The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable.
The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable.
They have an amazing swimming pool which was chilled making it very refreshing during summer.
The beach access made it easy to move from the pool to the beach for a swim.
I was very happy that they had an on site dive shop.
This is a great place to stay but, not really ideal for single travelers.

We have checked the reviews for this hotel and checked in with full belief that we will enjoy our stay. At the time of checkin we were not brief about the hotel or the facilities. And due to our anniversary requested to have an upgrade and they given us a room with sea view. Appreciate that.
Liked the splash pay area for kids and the beach 🏖️ as it’s the main attraction when we booked the hotel.
Rooms are just basic. And old not maintained well. Hotel is just like a hospital. Not attractive at all.
Food was horrible ordered for red Thai curry and got yellowish gravy with boiled chicken and gravy was so watery. And upon dinner we were informed breakfast buffet and when we went there it was Ala Carte. And we had to walk with heat all the back to the room again for the room service. And they don’t understand what I want to order.
Food is unnecessarily expensive for a hotel like that we have spent just for dinner more than the room rate for 1night to order biriyani, tom yum soup (which is just a blank water) red Thai curry (not the real as I mentioned above) , spaghetti for baby and ceasar salad 🥗. (AED383) And later room service two coffee to please us due to the bad dinner. (117aed)
And to find a mall or shop for dinner you have to drive too far. Nearest mall 15km away.
Staff are just lost and no proper information delivered to customers.
Totally disappointed and checked out one day before and waste of time as we have drove 213km back and forth.
NOT WORTH FOR MONEY. Not recommended for ANYONE.

Snorkelling around Snoopy Island (once the thick algae cleared) was sensational. So many turtles and also a group of black tip reef sharks along with all the usual traffic (Parrot fish, Trigger fish, clown fish, puffer fish etc.). Would love to come here more often (and stay at Sandy Beach Hotel!).

This area does not have walking areas and is more suitable only for relaxing inside the hotel. But a remarkable and distinctive feature of this area is its long promenade of several kilometers, which is suitable for long walks along the sea along the sand. You will see unique and impeccable sunrises.

Al Aqah is a small town, and worth traveling by road from the big cities. The drive through the desert and then through the mountains (literally at some spots - through the new tunnels) is enjoyable and not tiring at all. The city itself is small, however with all basic emergency services for visitors to feel secure.
Hearing crows in the morning was a wonderful surprise. Haven't met a lot of crows in uae.
