It was excellent location and the staff were friendly, on the whole it was great however there was a funny smell in the bedroom that lingered, appeared to be coming from the bathroom

For an airport hotel, the Best Western Premier Ark is a cut above. A delicious breakfast. Super large, comfortable rooms. Spotlessly clean. And being so close to the airport, I expected to have difficulty sleeping due to the noise. However, the rooms were very well soundproofed.

this is definitely one of the best stays on our Balkan trip. 😀 the owners are very attentive and took great care of parking our car safely. the room is enormous, new, clean, the breakfast is great! and the location is probably the best in Tirana. and the city itself was an amazing surprise. very new and hip. went to see the bunker, the house of leaves, and had lunch in the traditional ODA restaurant which is also very close by. climbed the piramid and checked out the most modern stadium in europe! great stay all together!

This was a nice stay in a lively location! Lots to explore around the area, good for nightlife and food, and just to walk around. There are quite a few bus connections to the city center. The staff was polite, check-in was easy and they even let us use the lobby (breakfast area) for work after we checked out. The room was clean, had the necessary facilities and drinking water. The bathroom was clean and was equipped with towels and toiletries.

We went to Tirana for a week. The plan was to use it as a base to travel across Albania. Driving in Albania is dangerous and a nightmare. Also roads and CAR PARKS are closed without warning. We were unable to use our car as it was trapped for over 24 hours in a car park. Tirana is nice but only for a couple of days. Sarande, Berat are nice for a short visit of a day or less. The Blue Eye is not worth a visit. Public Transport is a nightmare. Airport is good. We cycled in Tirana but it was scary.

A city at a crossroads.
A city at a crossroads. Modern commercial buildings rising over crumbling residences. Lots and lots of construction work ongoing. There us still, unfortunately, a third world feel to the dereliction and rubbish that is present everywhere. Trendy areas and coffee shops and bars resemble Brooklyn. It's difficult to find a glass if Albanian wine in the restaurants or bars. Excellent grilled meat platters. Very good Italian pasta and pizza.

A couple of days are great. The Bunk'Art is fascinating and the main square is huge. We enjoyed the cable car.
But you have to get up north to the Accursed Mountains which are beautiful. The ferry trip along the Komani Lake is awesome

I have quite warm memories of Tirana.
I have quite warm memories of Tirana. The weather was very hot, and the people were pleasant and kind. No one ever tried to cheat or take advantage of me, which was refreshing. Even those who didn’t speak English were friendly and made an effort to communicate — often in Turkish, which I understand, so that made me feel even more welcomed.
However, be prepared for relatively high prices in shops — groceries are surprisingly expensive, even by Western European standards. Unfortunately, the quality of food products is quite low. Eating out in cafes or restaurants can also be somewhat disappointing. Due to the high cost of ingredients, many dishes include a lot of potatoes or fillers. Don’t expect a burger to have a 100% meat patty — it's usually mixed with other ingredients. The same goes for doner kebabs, where only about 10% might be meat, and the rest is made up of fries or other fillers.
For those who prefer diet soft drinks, choices are very limited — usually only Diet Coke is available. Muslims should also be cautious, as pork and alcohol are sold almost everywhere, and halal food options are very limited.
That said, Albania offers a warm climate, beautiful mountains, lovely women, and kind-hearted people. Sadly, many of the downsides I mentioned are due to the country’s economic struggles.

It was awesome experience. The host was very friendly and helpful, gave me many tips what to do in Tirana as well as other parts of Albania. Location is bit off the centre but busses arrive every 15 minutes or so and stop just in front of the house. In 30 minutes they can take you directly to the city centre. It is in the 5th floor and you have a beautiful view from the balcony (even the sunset). Parking space is provided in a garage.
Breakfast was really tasty, large as well.
I would recommend it and come back.
Thank you!

Amazing Hotel situated in private residential area (u can access free telling to the security man at the entrance that u have a reservation at the Hotel), in my opinion one of the best Hotel in Europe and the best one in Albania.
The permanent in the hotel is like an experience that u must have to try.
Room with an amazing design and view on the city; incredible rooftop with restaurant and swimming pool; private parking lot; very quiet area.
