While vlore is good for a relaxing vacation,it is very much made for tourism,so you have a long road that goes by the sea and then you have restaurants,bars and shops on either sides,so if you want more nature and rural areas you have to go far out of town to experience that,they do have camping sites here and if you rent/have a car you can experience more.they offer rental of both bicycle, scooter,car and electrical scooters right in town.there is of course many activities to do in vlore also like boat trips,para sailing and so on.I would say that vlore is more on the expensive side of Albania.Guest review byErik hagforsNorway - Review score

Vlore is a great place to visit, our hotel was just 25 minute walk from the Port for boat trips, the old beach promenade and Shopping Centre or 5 minutes drive away. Kanine Castle was a great trip about 40 mins drive away enjoyed great views and the nature followed by a visit to Miramere Hotel in the hills on the cliff side for a delicious meal with spectacular veiw of the bay. Vlore old town was good too lots of traditional independent shops, Independence Square and we loved the homemade Tiramisu and drinks spot called Antik Bar. I recently visited Vlore, and I have to say, I was thoroughly disappointed. The streets were filthy, making it difficult to enjoy walking around. The beaches, which should have been a highlight, were marred by constant construction sites. It felt more like a noisy, chaotic work zone than a relaxing seaside destination. What really left a sour taste in my mouth was the stark contrast between the extreme poverty and the extravagant luxury on display. While there are a few fancy hotels and restaurants catering to the wealthy, they are surrounded by areas where beggars and homeless people are struggling to survive. The imbalance was jarring and made the entire experience uncomfortable. Vlore has potential, but until these issues are addressed, I wouldn't recommend it as a travel destination. We watched staff fish for our dinner, serve us the freshest food and vibrant cocktails. The pool and sea area is breathtaking and the view from your balcony is just as incredible too. Great local activities like paragliding, this whole place is a must on your Albanian trip! I highly recommend you learn some basic language, hello and thank you makes everyone smile! The location was great, walking distance to stores, restaurants and the beach. The apartment was very clean, spacious and had every new appliance.
