It was so beautiful and right in the centre of the town. The terrace was so amazing for dinner. The scenery was spectacular.

Waking up to stunning lake views and being greeted by swans each morning was unforgettable. The beautifully prepared breakfast was both delicious and visually pleasing. The room was spotless, the bedding fresh and comfortable, and everything felt thoughtfully cared for. A peaceful and charming place — I’d love to come back!

We loved our stay here! It was magical. Although to stay in Hallstatt is overall quite pricey it’s worth every penny. The calm and peaceful nature of this town means you can relax in the evenings when most tourists have left after 6pm ish.

The hotel has two annexes, which are a short walk away in a quieter section of the town. We had a lovely big room there looking over the lake
Easy bike storage. Friendly staff. Beautiful terrace for breakfast.

Everything is beautiful in Hallstatt. I liked the salt mine and the view from the top (Rudolf tower) is stunning. If you are a sport lover, there you can do hiking, you can bike around to see the beautiful landscape. Also, the short trip with the boat was nice and is worth doing it.

Best to arrive by train - the scenery on the journey is lovely and the ferry into Hallstatt a real bonus - if the weather is good. A two night stay was perfect for us, time to thoroughly explore Hallstatt and take your time to enjoy the salt mine tour and fabulous views from the Welterbeblick. Everything is accessible on foot, eating out was fine but expensive and there are wonderful views around every corner. Not easy to get a 2 night booking in town, so need to plan ahead and May is a good time to visit with sunny days and not too busy.

A fairytale village set on a beautiful lake surrounded by alpine mountains. It’s a MUST visit. Please note that a lot of establishments take cash only and all restaurants close circa 9:30pm. Local stores close at 5pm. Not a location for night owls or party goers. Great for a tranquil and relaxing break.

We have been to Hallstatt before--when it was far less touristed. Truly, I don't think we will go again. Even though early June is not really high season, it was packed and parking was definitely an issue. And we did not enjoy one of our dining experiences at Gruner Baum restaurant.

Our family really enjoyed the salt mine and ice cave tours which we did on separate days. Walking in the town in the morning and evenings when the streets were quieter as a bonus on staying overnight in Hallstatt. Beautiful town and was one of our highlights while Visiting Austria. Highly recommend spending the night in Hallstatt.

It is such a beautiful, scenic place to visit being right on the lake. We were unlucky that it was raining the day we arrived and so we didn't get to do the lake activities which we had been looking forward to - otherwise an iconic place to visit, and worth the logistics of getting to an out-of-the-way location.

We stayed in a superior balcony room. Our room is very comfortable and spacious. The balcony view overlooks Hallstatt center and was magnificent. The hotel is located in the heart of Hallstatt. The hotel's restaurant (seeterrace) was amazing in terms of both view and food. The breakfast had very high quality and variety of products. Restaurant staff were very kind. We were very pleased.

First off, Hallstatt is incredible and that's putting it lightly.
The hotel location was perfect with a patio opening up to the lake.
The staff were great as well, Valentino in particular was excellent.
I would totally recommend it!!!
Also, make sure your don't miss the last boat from the train station☺️

The location was very close to Hallstatt. The hotel itself is quite dated but comfortable. No aircon so needed to keep the room windows open. Lovely staff though.
