Great modern rooms and a perfect location to enjoy the amazing region of the Thannheimer Tal. Just a short walk from the Neunerköpfle cable car to ski or hike in summer and a great starting point for walks, hikes & nordic skiing. Very good breakfast options and extremely spacious and nicely designed rooms. The private sauna on the balcony is amazing and the hotel has many nice add-ons such as a little to go bar for drinks and snacks. Great mix between holiday apartment and hotel room.

We loved staying in an apartment in the same building that the family was living in, in a rural location close to hiking. The family was wonderful and told us much about the area which was fascinating to us. We had a car, so that was very good since there are not many options for public transportation from the little village. Our main goal was to visit the Tannheim area with its famous cow parade every September which we did. We enjoyed being able to prepare our own food in the apartment kitchen.

Jungholz is located in a super tiny triangle of Austria and surrounded by the borders to Germany. So it may happen that you cross countries borders on one of your hiking tours without even noticing. We went in summer, though we would love to come back in winter one day too. You have access to many hiking tours that have a time from 1 1/2 up to 7 hours and therefore match every one’s needs and pleasures. Jungholz itself has a couple of restaurants, whereby the Schrofen Hütte and the restaurant of the Berghotel Tirol definitely are among the bests. It’s peaceful and in the morning it happens that you see a group of cows passing by your balcony on their way into the mountains. If you are looking for a genuine, original and cozy Austria-experience then you definitely should go for this place☺️ You’ll find places like Schloss Neuschwanstein, Füssen and many many lakes nearby.

We had a great time! The location is beautiful with a stunning view and the facilities are great! Our room was huge (room 212) and very clean. The whole hotel was super clean and well organized. We were very happy about how dog friendly the hotel is and the staff made the stay for us three adorable. The spa area was very nice and also the breakfast and dinner were good. All in all we had a beautiful stay with a lot of opportunities (pool, spa, gym, walks, free non-alcoholic drinks and huge room) for an affordable price.
It’s a bit of a vintage style hotel, very cozy yet everything was clean and well kept. Beautiful sights from the room, excellent breakfast and dinner buffets. Enough play activities for kids, inside and outside. Staff was very warm and welcoming. Great pool area and outside jacuzzi with mountain backdrop is like a dream.
Beautiful location sourranded by the mountains and big room with balcony and view.
The owner, Sabine, is simply fantastic and super!!!
Plenty of trekking to do directly from the hotel.
