Brilliant short stay encompassing Salamanca markets and Farmer's Market where we sampled local seafood and other delicacies, Aloft 3 hatted restaurant with the most innovative take on fresh Tassie produce ever, small cruise to Iron Pot Isand with spectacular views and historical and environmental commentary, visit to Wooden Boat Shed on the Franklin River, a drink at the Dover Yacht Club, drive up Mt Wellington, pastries at Daci & Daci, wine tasting at Pooley, scallop pie and architecture in Richmond, cheese and chocolate to take home from Coal Creek. A great selection of restaurants, cafes and bars in interesting historical buildings in the Salamanca and waterfront area. Beautiful, clean, calm city. Wonderful art galleries and shops, excellent local produce. Super engaging and welcoming waiting staff in all the restaurants we went to. We had a great time.
We had a great time. People were always friendly and helpful. The city is beautiful with lots of things to see and do. We stayed in Bellerive at Kangaroo Bay Apartments. Public transport is very cheap and a ferry ride across to Hobart was quick and easy.Guest review byMandyAustralia - 10.0
I absolutely adore Hobart.
I absolutely adore Hobart. The air and water is so clean, it is pristine. The food scene is great and plenty to do. Lots of lovely little towns, bays, to explore, Mt Wellington, the wharf and Salamanca, lots of great wineries. Can't wait to go back!Guest review byLindaAustralia
