The island itself is amazing, I would love to have stayed longer. The cabins are good, decent size and great amenities, the kitchen is really fully equipped with a fridge, oven and cooktop, bathroom was huge and clean.

A great place to relax and recharge, and get some easy walking and cycling in, as well as snorkellng. Different options for coffee, drinks and meals depending on your budget, group (family, friends, groups).
Loved the quokkas and the beaches with virtually no one on them.

Bicycle ride with the family till the tallest light house was the best!
Mother's day lunch at Frankie's was simply delicious! Amazing pizza and good kids menu: (creamy chicken pasta for my fussy eater was a winner)
The Nutella donut at the bakery next to general store was a special treat for the kids and they loved it!
Quokkars everywhere. They're super cute and friendly. It's not allowed to touch or feed them thou.

Rottnest Island must be kept accessible and affordable.
There is now a tendency for prices of accommodation going up in Rottnest Island due to some overpriced hotels.
The hop-on hop-off buses were very convenient for moving around.
The free walking tours by very knowledgeable volunteer guides is well worth it. More visitors should be encouraged to go on the various walking trails.

A short stay can very easily turn into a longer stay once you see whats on offer at Rottnest. t’s a casual island with many hidden gems worth exploring. You feel relaxed immediately on arrival, so have an open mind as Rottnest is very different from anything you might have experienced. Wherever you go you will enjoy great food often eaten under the shade of beautiful old trees that form part of the restaurants. The beaches are picturesque and very clean with soft sand to sunbathe on and not overcrowded . The water is Chrystal clear and fun to swim and snorkel in. As for the quokkas they are friendly, beautiful little animals you will see whilst walking or riding around the island. All in all , Rottnest is definitely a place worth visiting.

Rottnest is a WA treasure.
Rottnest is a WA treasure. As soon as you step off the boat there is a relaxed, cruisy vibe that is divine. Quokka are incredibly adorable. I do think Rottnest accommodation is extremely overpriced. It is cheaper for us to take our family to Bali than it is to visit Rottnest, which is a shame.

Rottnest Island is a "must do" if you are in Western Australia. The resort/nature preserve island is just a fabulous place to visit. Hints: the island is NOT flat. Try to get an ebike to explore the island, esp. if you're used to one, or aren't an avid bicyclist! You cannot rely on Pedal & Fin to have ebikes so try to get that arranged through one of the ferry services or providers BEFORE you go to Rottnest. Bikes and feet are really the way to get around the island and to visit its various beaches. The bus is a one direction loop so can take a while... Great places to snorkel, with "snorkel trails," although in Sept. the water was too cold for us. The main grocery story has just about everything, food, wine to snorkeling equipment and souvenirs. The Bakery is good for breakfast through lunch. Note that if you are staying overnight in Rottnest that dinner offerings can be limited and expensive. We chose the pub food at the Hotel Rottnest for dinners. Also, don't forget the walks and talks provided free by the Rottnest Foundation docents. Daily, and great fun! You will find all that information at the Visitor Center.

My husband and I stayed here for only 1 night in March. We were upgraded to a beach view room which was absolutely beautiful.
The room was spotlessly cleaned and beautifully styled. The whole resort was beautifully presented and well thought out.
Every single staff member we had dealings with were friendly and professional.
We will definitely choose Samphire again for our next stay at Rottnest Island and will recommend to all of our family and friends.
it’s located on one of beautiful beaches in Rottnest Island. the glamping facility for a family of four is excellent. the interior design and furniture are matching the environment. the property is clean
