Bruges is a very clean, interesting city to investigate. There is lots to do such as boat rides, museums and the beer factory experience. We particularly enjoyed the Historic Experience which told a story set in Bruges. It was very atmospheric. There are loads of restaurants to choose from, particularly in the square. Bruges is a beautiful city and well wort a visit, It is relatively small and can easily be seen in a day. It is busy with tourists but manageable. The canal is lovely and the short canal boat trips are worth it for the information of the area. Orfeo (Italian Restaurant) was a great find. If you don't book before the day, it is worth wandering in to see if they have space. We went for a day to Ghent - and although the Cathedral is amazing, I preferred Bruges. A very pretty city, with an easily accessible Old Town. Many of the important sites are within easy walking distance and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants to enjoy along the way.
