AustraliaA nice very old period home with huge magnificent gardens. However the surroundings are very industrial and busy noisy main roads filled with trucks and traffic. Bonus is very close to the airport which is why I booked it. Breakfast disappointing for me-there was no cereal, and as I don’t eat bacon and eggs, only toast and jam so not great. Friendly owner who was welcoming and helpful.

CanadaThis is our "go to" hotel when visiting Halifax. We have stayed here repeatedly over years with sports teams and on our own. The Staff were kind and funny. There were activities for guests and breakfast is always good.

Modern chargers/plugs that are very easy to access. Wish all hotel rooms did this!
Convenient location off the highway in Dartmouth. Very glad we stayed here and not in the chaotic traffic of Halifax itself.

I arrived from the UK around midday at airport. Called for courtesy bus which arrived quickly. Arrived at hotel around 1pm expecting to have to wait for room. I was able to get into my room right away , which was great as I had been travelling for approximately 16 hours and was tired. Had a quick meal in restaurant which was very good. We lived in Enfield for 10 years while deployed with military. Nice little town.Has everything you'd need, from shops, gas, restaurants, scenery. Convenient, with a free airport shuttle. The checkout was at 12 noon which I appreciated. The front staff at check-in were courteous and polite. The hotel is overly worn, and needs an update. My room was at the furthest end of a hall, and I needed to carry my heavy suitcase up 4 stairs along the way. Being at the hallway end did make it quiet. The bed and pillows were extremely soft, the sheets and towels thin and worn. Everything needed a paint touch up. The in-room coffee machine didn't work. The breakfast was poor, too many high sugar options, few basic healthy choices. This was my first time staying and it will be my last. The hotels surrounding Halifax Airport are all overpriced. Loved everything except the stairs on the uneven 2nd floor: could not take the luggage trolley all the way to our room: had to take our 6 bags manually down to our room while my spouse stayed with the trolley below the stairs. Love the location, pool (did not use this trip), the staff and shuttle but going up the stairs to continue on 2nd floor was SO inconvenient. Also enjoyed the restaurant in the evening. They also had an airport shuttle which we made use of. There was plenty of room for parking and we enjoyed the large T.V.
