We loved everything about this hotel. There’s so much to share but in brief, it’s just a 2 minute walk from the train station yet so quiet overnight. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the area but more importantly the hotel is probably the best we’ve ever stayed in. There is a history to this hotel, clearly linked to London and the great granddaughter’s of the original owner are still there running things.
The food / breakfast was amazing. Very fresh and nothing was packaged. They trust those staying to serve themselves to the snacks, beer and wine in the evening and note down what you’ve taken and they honestly could not do enough for you. The decor was lovely with a hint of London times, old and new.
We would highly recommend this hotel!

We had a great time in this hotel. Location is super - in the center of the town. Undergroung parking is comfortable and safe. Breakfast was usual for hotels but very good.
The family-run Hotel Victoria is conveniently located opposite the Brig train station and offers free WiFi and panoramic views of the Valais Alps.

Close to the railway station and the town centre. Modernised, spacious, clean, and comfortable room, well soundproofed. Welcoming staff, great breakfast with a terrace to enjoy. The building must have experienced a lot of tourists in its long history. It deserves to thrive. Brig is in a fabulous setting with a number of historic buildings.
Brig was truly a hidden gem! We stayed at Hotel Victoria, directly across from the train station - which we loved. The main part of the city was really close and in walking distance. Great shops and resturants and gelato shops. They have a little train that goes around the city and gives you another perspective. It was perfect! There was a historic castle with tour. Unfortunately, the tour was in German, but we enjoyed it.

Brig is a pretty town surrounded by mountains.
Brig is a pretty town surrounded by mountains. There are lots of restaurant options and shops and a sweet old town. There is a very striking Palace to visit and some lovely nearby walks, including one to a gorge. They have a local pool and a set of thermal pools a short bus ride away.

Great wee town.
Great wee town. The centre was beautiful, as were the surrounding views. We ate at a local wee German restaurant and they seemed surprised we never booked! getting around Brig was easy...just walk, it's not that big. We would have loved to have explored distant villages, but we had no personal transport. We'd come back and explore more.

Brig is a central town within the Rhone valley.
Brig is a central town within the Rhone valley. It represents a train junction both east to west and north to south allowing access to the cities of Bern & Milan. The town is quite and has a few shops and restaurants which only stay open for a short time in the evening. The centre of the town is car free so peaceful to walk around at night. Brig offers transport links by both bus and train to many of the ski resorts in the area. Be aware that travel by train to Zermatt to see the Matterhorn cost 150CF for two people. Drinks & food are expensive in the town but it is safe and pleasant to walk around. There are numerous walks along the river and into the hillside.

Good location in Switzerland, with direct trains from Zürich...
Good location in Switzerland, with direct trains from Zürich and Geneva airports and Basel SBB station (a bus goes from Basel airport to Basel SBB), just over an hour by train from Berne. Good hiking opportunities, for example from nearby Naters up to Blatten and further up to Belalp.

The hotel is in a great central location and only a short walk from the train station and the Palace. We were upgraded to a family room which was a lovely gesture and a rose given to mothers for Mother's day. The main bed was comfortable and the room had nice facilities like a coffee machine and bath robes. The windows had good sound proofing and block-out blinds. The breakfast buffet had a good range of items and the staff were very friendly.
Lovely old charm hotel very close to train station and the Bahnhofstrasse. Staff was helpful with information we needed about the surrounding areas. Breakfast was great too.
