The hotel was lovely. I'd booked a single room as only staying one night but when I got to my room, I was delighted it was a really good size with a double bed. The staff were so friendly, the hotel was so clean and the location in the old town and only a 5 min walk from the station, was great.

The location is great a short walk from the train station overlooking the river and right next to the Aldstat or old town also only a very shot walk to the cablecar up to the mountains. A very warm and helpful welcome at reception. They had been so kind when I had to change my dates last minute. Big room very comfortable and clean and a great breakfast. Perfect for visiting this lovely city.

    Great stopover for joining the Bernina Express.

    Great stopover for joining the Bernina Express. Old town easily reached and completely walkable. Shopping opportunities seemed good, but were closed on the public holiday while we were there. Eateries were mostly open and we had a great meal. Just a reminder, this is Switzerland and things are comparatively 'very expensive'. Quality is good though.

    Lovely historic town, lots of lovely small shops and cafés, I really enjoyed walking through the old town. We visited the Catholic Church and the Reform Church, both are lovely buildings. I didn't have time to visit the museums, I would have really liked to do that. Unfortunately the cable car was closed as it only opens weekends, maybe we were a bit too early in the tourist season. It's a very safe quiet spot.

    Chur is well connected by train to eastern Switzerland and...

    Chur is well connected by train to eastern Switzerland and for us provided a base to visit St Gallen and St Moritz. Plenty of history with it being the oldest town in Switzerland and for us it was a good starting point for the Glacier Express. On the trip to and from St Moritz you can open the windows on the train to take better photos which you can't do on the Glacier Express.

    This is the oldest town in Switzerland and it is just charming. We really would have liked to stay longer to explore it more. Loved it 🥰 The pizza restaurant offered the best pizzas we have tasted in decades. They also accommodated the most amazing salad for a gluten free diet.

    We spent just one night and had the opportunity to explore the nearby shops. The area was not crowded, and the historic town was just a short walk away. With only half a day before our departure the following noon, we were unable to visit the forest and other attractions. I appreciated that the location was not overly touristy, making it a lovely place for a leisurely stroll. The locals were also very friendly.

    I stayed in this city for 2 nights for the Bernina Express. I didn’t have much time to explore, but it’s a small, quiet, and lovely town. However, if you’re coming just to visit Chur, one night would be enough.

    It's very hard to find hotel rooms in Chur, there is not a lot of choice. This is a good choice, as it's just a 10' bus direct from the train station. Room is nice, clean & quiet. Restaurant is great BUT very popular with locals, so book in advance!

    This is such a friendly hotel the staff couldn't do more to be helpful and accommodating. The food in the restaurant is also excellent. The rooms are clean and comfortable and excellent value for Switzerland.
