Horgen is a charming little village, lovely to walk around.
Horgen is a charming little village, lovely to walk around. It has a quaint centre and a beautiful waterfront. Easy travel into Zurich by train. Easy travel to mountains and skiing by train or car. Good supermarkets with good opening hours. We didn’t try the restaurants as we were visiting relatives but we did get a great takeaway - burritos. While the facilities at this one are fairly basic, you get what you pay for and cleanliness and value for money mattered more - both were excellent. The generous buffet breakfast included freshly baked bread and delicious muesli and, had I wanted it, I could have had much more than I did.
