SwitzerlandVery relaxing little village, it's beautiful and the hotel is superbly located to enjoy the views, the lake and have a relaxing and quiet time.
The staff is kind and the breakfast is good. Free parking is available which is really practical.

Iseltwald is a lovely plce for you to stay if you are senior citizens and happy to make your own sandwiches. It is quiet and fabulous if you like drinking your whiskey in the balcony looking at the lake and surrounding mountains in a quiet atmostphere.It is blessed with exceptional views . There are some restaurants around but not so great in terms of the quality of food . The only shop/post office closes at 5 pm. Iseltwald is a quiet village but it is a really good base to travel to surrounding areas. It has a cosy cove and a quite retreat holiday with easy access with the 103 free bus shuttle into Interlaken was very helpful, leaving moist days every 30 minutes. The small shop there is adequate for essentials. We loved kayaking on the lake and has regular ferry crossing which is an added attraction. There are a few restaurants in the area which is handy. The hotel is a typical Châlet style. Our room was very generously sized and we had the most exquisite view over the water. It’s not been decorated for a while, but that only adds to its charm. Situated right next to the boat stop, only a few meters from the little boat Dock featured in k-drama Crash landing on you, our room had its own little terrace and view over the lake and the mountains.
