Lugano is an amazing and beautiful city surrounded by mountains, fantastic atmosphere, nice people, beautiful architecture and close to border of Italy. We loved Lugano - it's a relatively small city so 1-2 days...
We loved Lugano - it's a relatively small city so 1-2 days are enough to explore. We went over to Lake Como on the Italian side one day and that was a fun visit. The other day we took a boat to Morcote which is a BEAUTIFUL village I highly recommend visiting. Then we took a funicular up to Mont San Salvatore which was also a wonderful visit. Lastly, we spent some time in the Lugano city center walking to Parco Ciani and just shopping and hanging out. It is so so beautiful here. I only had 24 hours, which felt too chaotic. You could really slow down and explore for much longer. Also, be prepared for pretty pricey food and drinks. Luckily, it was all delicious, but definitely on the more expensive side.Guest review bySawyerUnited States

The location in Lugano Paradiso is perfect, just a 3-minute walk to the lake and about 20 minutes on foot to the city centre. There's a bus stop right in front of the hotel, and public transport is included for free, which is a great bonus. The staff were very friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the bed was absolutely amazing!
