We especially liked the cozy and elegant atmosphere of the room.
The location was also ideal since Zimmerei is in the centre of the old town of Murten.
We also ran into the owner at one point who was really friendly.

This was one of our stops on a round trip through Europe. It's run with superb efficiency and our rooms had access to complimentary drinks. We ate at the hotel in the evening and although it was more than we would normally pay, the food was beautifully cooked and presented. I thought I was eating at a Michelin starred restaurant. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, which made the stay a delight. I'd stay again.

It was a clean, big room and a little kitchen. Bathroom was nice and bed linen was nice. Location was good and the bar/seating outside was nice. Staff was friendly.

It's a very attractive little lakeside town with a medieval centre, including intact and walkable fortification wall, and lots of nice places to eat. It is well-connected transport-wise for visits to nearby attractions like the roman ruins in Avenches or the (really well-worth visiting) 12th century abbey in Payerne. Lake boats ply daily (in summer) to Neuchatel.

Cosy town.
Cosy town. Away from the hustle bustle of a larger tourist city. Offers all lakeside water sports and family friendly entertainment and restaurants. Driving to nearby tourist spots possible in an hour radius. Large picnic ground and beach volleyball possible

Great location and large, clean, beautifully furnished rooms above a restaurant right on the main street of town. It was not far from the train station which was also great since we were traveling by train to Murten and made excursions by train from there. Murten is a wonderful town to stay in with easy boat and train excursions from the town and very good restaurants in town. Murten was a great choice since it was close to Bern but without all the negatives of a larger city.
This was by far one of the best places I've booked on this site. The apartment was amazing with a panoramic view over the lake of Murten from the living area as well as the bedroom. It had everything we needed and more. Great location, great architecture, great views. Bonus: There was free still and sparkling filtered water provided by a very nice "Aquarello" device.
Location of the hotel in the middle of historic Murten, as well as the Deluxe room with comfortable bed, and nicely sized room that included a little niche with a table. Very cozy feel, and exposed stone walls, which added to the room's unique character and charm.
The staff at the hotel were exceptional, always friendly and eager to help with anything I needed.
