Thun is such a lovely town.
Thun is such a lovely town. It’s smaller than the bigger city’s like Bern and Interlaken, it has a very relaxed vibe. No one is stressed. The old town and Castle are culturally very interesting and beautiful to walk around and explore. The waterfront restaurants are very lively in the summer with big terraces. Thun is the prettiest town with so much to do.
Thun is the prettiest town with so much to do. We travelled by train from Zurich and it was a great location to travel to other places during our stay. Zermatt, Bern and Montreu. It is really clean and the people are very pleasant and helpful. The lake is lovely and there are boat trips you can take too. We had nice meals out but it is expensive for dining. Thun is a charming little city on the West end of the lake...
Thun is a charming little city on the West end of the lake opposite Interlaken. In many ways it is more charming than Interlaken. We hiked up to the church and castle, walked through old town, ate dinner along the river, walk through the covered bridges and watched people surf below the bridge. Thun was amazing, it was a stay over on the way to somewhere else so we hadn’t really researched it much. It was so much more than we anticipated, clean, beautiful, plenty to walk round and see. I think it is somewhere we would definitely come back. We stayed 4 nights in Thun. Its the perfect place to stay as the hotel gives you a Panaroma card which gives you free travel by train or bus - until Interlaken. Also to all the beautiful villages that the bus serivce STC has. Brilliant!!!! Room is just great very clean, housekeeping done every day. The hotel overlooks Thun lake. Amazing. Thun and surrounding is a place of fantastic nature. Lakes, mountains, beautiful views and some nice cafes and restaurant. There is so many things to see, you have to stop by every village to experience local beauty. The room has a very good view of the lake thun and room is very clean and big enough and the toilet and shower room is quite big too. The hotel is located in the living area , therefore , I can enjoy a piece of quiet . It is as good as it is introduced by the webside. The whole place is magical, I felt like a princess in a story! We had dinner one night at the hotel and it was very nice. Staff were all very helpful.
