Everything! Everything about this hotel is exceptional. The room was wonderful with great amenities, the location stunning and the food amazing. But it is the brilliant staff that made our stay truly memorable. They are all so friendly, helpful, attentive and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. One night the dessert special had run out and my husband was really looking forward to trying it. The next night the chef had made one especially and let us know they were keeping it for him to have after dinner. Not only that, my husband said it was the best dessert he had ever eaten!
The hotel is down a steep hill, so on leaving your luggage will be driven up to the station, which was greatly appreciated too.

The most convenient position from the train station, THE most lovely staff who helped us with a broken case wheel as soon as we arrived with a special mention going to Sanja who was the face of our stay, helping us with great advice and lovely greetings every day. THE BALCONY VIEW (the most spectacular view I’ve ever seen, I’m getting a canvas made of it) and equally the view from the bar terrace, what a way to have pre dinner drinks. Our junior suite room was amazing - so well thought out; luxurious and clean with fun little den areas for the kids in the ceiling hides. I can’t believe this trip was even real, it was so fairytale-esque. Perfect. Thanks so much Maya Caprice.

Nice and quiet town with good connectivity.
Nice and quiet town with good connectivity. All other town in that area were super crowded and highly commercialized. Overall good location and good views. I recommend getting Jungfrau Region Pass for 3 days so you can cover all areas up to Eigerglachicer. Grindelwald, Interlaken, Murren, Lauterbrunnen etc. Be Prepared to empty your pockets , shops and restaurants are highway robbery teamed up together. If you are on budget use CooP shop ( its like mini Walmart).

Nice village on top of the mountain - quiet and remote.
Nice village on top of the mountain - quiet and remote. Not as busy as Grindelwald. Murren seemed more upscale. We hiked down to Lauterbrunnen and walked across the valley. Easy hike down.
There are some (very few) cars here. Everything closed early.

Absolutely stunning village tucked up in the mountains.
Absolutely stunning village tucked up in the mountains. Only accessible from the little mountain railway this village hides half way up the mountain on a ledge. Pretty much traffic free everyone walks making a peaceful atmosphere. The opportunities for walks and places to visit locally are endless and every corner produces another stunning view. Even on rainy days when it was pouring and we got soaked it was still stunning and we still went walking. I would 110% recommend spending a few days here on your trip.

Wengen completely exceeded our expectations.
Wengen completely exceeded our expectations. It’s a charming, car-free village perched in the mountains with some of the most stunning views we’ve ever seen. The peaceful atmosphere, combined with the breathtaking scenery, made it feel like we were in a storybook.
It was the perfect base for exploring the Jungfrau region—close to Lauterbrunnen, Jungfraujoch, and Schilthorn. Everything was easy to access via train or gondola, and the village itself has everything you need, from cozy cafés to grocery stores and restaurants.
We also appreciated how family-friendly it was. Our kids loved simply walking around, enjoying the views, and riding the trains. If you’re looking for a relaxing mountain getaway with a classic Swiss alpine feel, Wengen is hard to beat. We can’t wait to come back!

This is a super option for a good value stay in Wengen. We booked last minute so got a triple with shared bathroom, but could push the beds together and the shared bathroom was super clean and never busy. The hotel is charming, friendly, good ski room, good night-entrance key solution, yummy Swiss restaurant very fast service with good value. Right on the Main Street so an easy walk to the gondola or the station. We’ll definitely come back!

We requested a Mountain View and were not disappointed... the view from our balcony was absolutely beautiful. The staff were helpful, breakfast was good, the room was spacious and the beds comfortable...although not the double bed as requested. We initially accessed the hotel via a rather steep "main" road but later found a quaint track from the back of the hotel which led directly into lovely and vibrant Wengen town.
