guilin is a famous tourist attraction, things to do include a river cruise, visits of the rice terraces, tea plantation, seven star park, or a river walk around sun&moon twin. might be rather crowded in high tourist season. be aware of the e-scooters, which are just everywhere and don't follow the traffic rules. besides this, it's save to walk, also on ones own, even at night. if you don't speak chinese, find a travel guide, who makes the booking and organises the tickets for you.Guest review byElly MonikaGermany - 6.0

Guilin is a city and all the cruise to Yangshuo starts here. Guilin has lively night shopping area and full of restaurants. It has a lake and it is ok to walk around at night and look at the pagodas. There is a famous cave nearby. I personally find Guilin to be good for overnight stay to catch the cruise ship to Yangshuo but I will not stay longer to explore the city.Guest review bycelineUnited Kingdom - 10.0

People like tranquil and beautiful sceneries will love to visit Guilin. Also, the local food streets give you big selection of food selection. An outstanding restaurant I would like to bring it up is, Ah Kim Chinese restaurant. The staff is super friendly and happy to help you book activities. The food options in the restaurant are great, and they have Western and vegetarian options. The location of the hotel is conveniently close to the Reed Flute Cave, which is a lot more quiet than the city. We rented bikes for a day to get into the city which is less than 20 mins away and safe enough for tourists, especially with the new bike roads around the village.
