Sparkling Chinese Metropolis
Shenzhen is considered one of the most successful and prosperous cities in China. It is located in the Guangdong province, along the border with Hong Kong. Although 30 years ago it was a small fishing village, the creation of the first Special Economic Zone transformed the region into a bustling metropolis with almost 15 million people.
Its shiny urban landscape and cultural life include contemporary icons like the Shenzhen Library, the Concert Hall, and the Portofino complex. The districts of Futian, Luohu and Nanshan are packed with modern hotels, including some of the best 4 and 5-star accommodation in Shenzhen.
The city is famous for its amusement parks, including the’Splendid China and China Folk Culture Villages’. Did not have time to go around too many places during my stay this time. Futian area where the hotel is was excellent. Local cuisine are always my favorite. Getting AliPay and Wechat pay work is a bit challenge for foreigner like me since we don't have local credit card and cell phone number.
