I stayed in the glamping tent and it was gorgeous. I was by myself but this would be perfect for couples as well. The location is quite convenient to the city.

The location was very walkable to the two main waterfalls, and very peaceful (out of town). Staff were friendly. Pool was nice but due to bugs impossible to enjoy for long periods of time. The food was exceptional but pricey.

I booked Selva Minca last minute as I found availability which provided a much better offer and location than my original booking. The staff were extremely attentive from the moment I booked, providing all the activities and extra services available during my stay. I was able to have freshly cooked healthy meals and take part in the mud therapy and yoga classes! The added bonuses were watching the sunset in the evening and waking up the sound of nature each morning! A nice little find and so glad I found it!

The location is beautiful, the view is dreamlike, it’s a real treat. Definitely worth splashing out on.
It’s definitely worth getting a few of the experiences. That’s what really sets this place apart. They sent me the brochure of experiences when I booked and I was very excited so I booked 3 of them. A kambo ceremony, a massage and a hike to a waterfall with an indigenous guide. I usually prefer to just spend my days in the pool, but the experiences here were really high end and didn’t feel in any way “off the shelf” tourist rubbish. Really authentic. The highlight of my holiday.
Oh and then there’s a heated infinity pool. The perfect place to watch the amazing sunsets with a cool drink.

It’s a nice little town with a bunch of activities and places to go and explore, you will also find a lot of interesting characters between the locals and other foreigners that live there, it’s worth of it if you wanna discover more of the northern culture of Colombia and the beautiful spots this area offer.

Not really what I have been told.
Not really what I have been told. I was expecting an “hippie vibe place” but more than hippie it is a bit unkept.
Try to spend time in nature but avoid the waterfall everyone one goes to. It loses all the magic and silence of the place.

BEWARE UPPER ACCESS ROAD as shown as only one by GPS Google Maps!!! Scary and if you have any incident you are 2 hours walk away from hotel... who will tell you as they did to us: you should not come here by car, and NOT via Upper Track. Use lower one at La Vittoria....
Food on site is average. Staff correct with no excess of smiles. Room fine - no hot water so better a swim in pool than cold shower 😳
No hiking trails only the access roads
Clientele around 30´s with a noisy group on 1st evening

Lazy Cat Restaurant is a surprising and excellent find.
Lazy Cat Restaurant is a surprising and excellent find. Minca is backpacker 20 something heaven. Lots of green. I suppose there are some great hikes. Once you have seen a bit of the world it can get repetitive. I probably would not go back. 2 days is more than enough (of course depending on your situation and expectations). Yet another good place to meditate and be with nature.

Lovely place to see birds, swim in some waterfalls, have some good coffee and chocolate on farms, get some craft beer. Very hot though— stay hydrated and pack sunscreen. I would recommend this place and advise hiking around to enjoy the nature.

Spacious dorm with good ensuite bathroom/shower facilities. Great location a short and pleasant walk across the river to town and very quiet in the evenings. Staff are friendly, can't comment on service as we never ordered anything from the restaurant/bar. Breakfast was good, the biggest breakfast we have had in Colombia that was included in our accommodation price. A/C worked well, although to be honest at night in Minca you don't really need it.
It was my favorite activity of my 3 weeks travel in Colombia! I loved my stay there! It was like a fairy tail, relaxing into this jungle, with all of the nature, the diversity of the plants around us, waking up in the morning by the birds, walking through the river to go out. It was a paradise! Of course the hosts were so hospital and incredible! This experience will always stay in my memory!
We have been travelling Colombia for 1 month and this place was our absolute highlight. The domes are well equipped, clean and modern. The view is stunning, and the hosts are absolutely amazing. Do the coffee tour and the waterfall (there are no other tourist at the waterfall), and look forward to the best home cooked meals. If you are going to Minca, stay here - you won’t regret it!
Probably my favorite place that I stayed in Colombia. Nice little guesthouse, with lovely ladies operating it, cuddly pets and dogs, comfy hammocks, and hummingbirds flying to the nectar. I even got a little goodbye gift from them (a handmade hair squanchy). Our room was really nice as well, very clean and spatious.
Our overall experience at Sol de Minca was amazing. The quality of the food (the best food we've had) and the view of the mountain and the city at night were our two top highlights of Colombia.
