LithuaniaA very nice place. Near to the cable car station. A timber trail of tree tops with the watch tower is some 15 minutes walk away, which is a great attraction. Some nice restaurants in the neighbourhood. Basic, but tasty breakfast. Would choose to stay there again. Only pay attention if you are around 2 m tall: beds have wooden endings, so it would not very comfortable for a really tall person. Ask them about availability of different type of beds before booking.

Janske Lazne is a ski resort which is not very suitable for...
Janske Lazne is a ski resort which is not very suitable for beginners, in the sense that there are relatively few blue slopes. They do have beginner area's, but they are not in the main area, 5 minutes by bus away from the Gondola. The Gondola only takes 7 minutes and you have a nice 10-15 minute downhill (skiing average). Friendly people and good restaurants on the slopes. The number of restaurants in the village itself is limited.
