The one good thing about this hotel: we had room no10, which is top floor and does not face the street and is large. The bed is domitory level, the pillow hardly has a filling. There is plenty of space for clothes and a desk, the room is newly done and clean. The room door does not block the noise from other guests well.

Very spacious rooms, very clean and comfortable. Spa has a lovely relaxation room with ice tea and juice. Finnish sauna was really nice but I think the aroma room wasn't working when we were there. Breakfast was great too. Staff in the reception was extremely lovely and helpful.

Very nice hotel, well located 2 minutes drive from the main road.. Available parking space.
Staff were very nice and helpful, breakfast was excellent
The room was large and had mini fridge which is important if you travel with some fruits and vegetables.
Beautiful area of Chezhia. So many different spots to go see the rock formations/columns. We visited Prachovske Skaly which was INCREDIBLE. Different hikes you can do depending on the difficulty and length. Vranov Castle also worth visiting.

Small town with a few interesting places to see.
Small town with a few interesting places to see. But nothing much in comparison with other bigger cities.
The town is located near Prachov rocks (about 40 minutes away), which is the reason why I chose to stay there.
Overall, the town is worth a day of visit. More time could be spent in Prachov rocks and the castles/palaces nearby.

Jicin is most charming by night, when it is quiet and romantic. The huge number of cars parking in the main old town square is a problem in all Czech towns. Don't expect to do any shopping after 5 pm unless you have a car to drive to a big market outside the town centre. There are rather few places to eat anything other than pizza or kebab (the sports hall halfway to Wallenstein lodge had a good though not cheap restaurant). For such a small town, the historical architecture is really impressive, but what we loved most was the walk in the wild forest park behind the Wallenstein lodge 2km from the centre down the unique linden alley and to the Jewish cemetery near the lodge. There's also a v. interesting Jewish cultural centre in Židovská 100 (dedicated to Jewish writers of the German language). To visit these places inside, you need to call them in advance.

This is a nice town.
This is a nice town. The reason we traveled here was so that we could explore the Cesky Raj park and have a nice hotel and restaurants for the evenings. It was easy to walk from the bus or train station to the main square. We would suggest traveling by bus from Praha instead of the train as we did because the bus trip is shorter. And it was easy to take a train or taxi to the parts of the park which we wanted to explore.
There were several choices of restaurants and there was even a local market on the town square on Saturday. I wished that we had had more time to explore the city. The people we met in the restaurants were friendly and our hotel was amazing.
Just be aware that we were off season and that most of the castles in the Czech Republic are closed starting Nov. 1 until spring. We were able to see some of the castles from the distance, but not able to explore them closer or tour them during our stay.

Still the best hotel in the region, perfectly located, stylish as a history-reminder place should be (the old style workdesk in the rooms is really a good surprise), huge rooms, cosy bed, clean, perfect breakfast (indeed, is even special), good people with good advices (they called before arrival and suggested the only late open restaurant which was good) perfect and safe parking. Keep it like this :)
The location of the hotel, although in a quiet green area, is just about 7 (car) minutes away from the city Jičín. Parking space at the hotel is no problem and has a video surveillance system. Service is very friendly and informative. The breakfast buffet is great.
In all, a pleasant stay on a short business trip.
The hotel is located in a beautiful building in the city centre. It's about 10 minutes walking distance from the railway station, and literally one minute walk from the main square.
I would really recommend this hotel for people visiting Jicin.
