A/C in the room was perfect on hot summer days, breakfast was fine, there was also a locked place where to put our bikes, parking place behind the hotel building was small but sufficient, the hotel is on bike routes and not far from to Kuneticka Hora

Total retro look of the hotel. On the outside nothing has been changed since the eighties. It's like a time machine! I absolutely adore that, and I'd come again just for that. No worries, rooms have been renovated, bathrooms are excellent, you even have a small fridge...

Pardubice is a nice town, the gingerbread specialty you can buy is very cute and tasty. The town centre is very beautiful and nice. Quite a few restaurants. The castle looks nice from the outside, we didn't have time to visit. Would visit again.

I've been to Pardubice several times and definitely recommend it.
Pardubice is a nice city in the central part of the Czech Republic. There's a lot of history to take in and a couple of self-guided tour routes you can find out about at the city tourism office.
As Pardubice is a major rail point between the eastern and western points in the country, most trains going across the country pass through the city or have stops there. That makes the city easy to reach by train, so there really isn't a reason not to pay it a visit.

Padubice has good public transportation and a lovely old town. The tourist information center helped me by email when I asked about renting a car locally. In the end I rented from Prague but they were very nice and responsive to queries. They have online information such as a self guided tour tips for what to do on Mondays when museums are closed. The castle has an interesting tour and the East Bohemian Museum. There are plenty of interesting places to go to on day trips from Pardubice. I very much enjoyed interacting with locals and getting away from crowds of tourists. Pardubice has a vegetarian restaurant with vegan options.

Nice small city, people are nice, local restaurants and cafes serve good food and good service. The old town square is nice with some good restaurants around it. The supermarkets are well-stocked and you can walk to most places around the old town. There are some lovely cafes that serve excellent coffee and cakes (Mlsna kava, Cafe Bajer, U Maxe etc) at reasonable prices.

The location was good. I was in town to visit an airshow and there was a public transport stop a short walk away with a line to the airport.
The hotel is not a far walk from the city's main square and historic area.
Overall, the hotel was clean.
Very cozy room, comfortable bed, windows overlooking a quiet courtyard, 5 minutes from the center of Pardubice. Great breakfast in the morning in the restaurant. Excellent!
