I have been to Copenhagen many times, so love coming back. The country is expensive, but everything is clean, the food is delicious, and the people are friendly. We found the public transportation to be incredibly well organized, with buses, trains and metros well connected to each other. The city is quite compact and all main attractions are within walking distance of each other from the Tivoli Gardens to Nyhavn. Give yourself plenty of time to visit Tivoli gardens and you don't need to love rides to enjoy, there's still.plenty to see there. (Tip- take something to drink, the soda is expensive, cost us around £10 for two take away drinks!) The Kings Gardens and lots of the areas around the botanical gardens are free to enter and well worth visiting. The Round Tower is a must see, for the experience of viewing the roof tops! We walked to see the little mermaid statue one eve, apparently not as busy as during the day, also saw the sun set at the nearby citadel, nice to wander around the mounds along with the locals!
