the bus driver on Fanoe showed us the trick, because the office was recently moved to that building and only a small sticker on the mailbox indicated it. After this, just marching 2km to the flat, with only 26kg on my back, not a problem at all, it's so lovely there. People so friendly. All so clean, relax. Perfect.

The island is nice with wonderfull beaches, but we were disappointed about Nordby. On mondays and tuesdays most cafees are closed or close very early. Not very tourist friendly.
Fanø Bryghus is a very nice exception. They are open all week and have very nice beer.

A very nice place to visit ,one of my favourites on my trip .It is good to see the seals .I recommend you hire a bike if you don't have a car .Great places ,for walking . and history as in the German WW11 bunkers .There was an open air play when I was there .Nordby is a nice town .You only pay for the ferry to Fano ,not the return .Very frequent crossings .
It has good scenery. good walks good for animals ,if you like swimming ,sailing history ,fishing ,forests then this,is for you .

Very comfortable and spacious twin room, beautiful food and very helpful staff.
Hotel was friendly and cosy with lovely places to sit and relax inside if weather outside was cold and wet. It was the middle of winter and it snowed while we were there, but the hotel was warm, inviting and relaxing. I wished we had been able to stay longer and I would love to go back.

Freedom.
Freedom. If you like to be almost on your own during kilometers of sandy beaches, with the wind blowing all around, and possibility to pass from beaches to woods & lakes in a few minutes, and small villages with stray roofs, then back to beaches, that's the place to go.
Teens with no "natural mind" will hate the place, inhabitants says it too :-)
In Noerdby, lots of nice pubs - taverna's, some with live music. Local brewery is a top of the pops. Same as the smoked salmon.
And so peaceful, everyone respects the others peace, prodigious.
