We had a wonderful experience at Nala Narty. The place is truly incredible, located on a small island in the Nile and surrounded by nature, it feels like a hidden gem. The view from our room was like a painting, just as beautiful as in the photos, waking up to that every morning was unforgettable.
Sherief was exceptional: extremely attentive, kind, and helpful throughout our stay. He took the time to suggest and help us organize visits, shared great local tips, and was always available when we needed anything. He was incredibly accommodating to all our needs and really made our stay smooth and enjoyable.
I highly recommend Nala Narty to anyone looking for a peaceful, welcoming place where you’ll be truly well cared for.

We spent a lot of our time just enjoying Elephantine island, which is quite, safe, and very relaxing, compared to much of the rest of what we experienced in Egypt. There is certainly enough to explore in Aswan that one could easily spend several days.

Allow at least 2 full days for Aswan region.
Allow at least 2 full days for Aswan region. It s a great stopover for a break after the madness of the tourist sites. The Nubian village ( with the colored walls, where all the motor boats end up) on the other side of the town has been a place where i could have made local friends if I stayed longer. Of course the money making is also there in the mindset, and it s over touristic but you experience the vib of a local village if you stay overnight there. I suggest Ekadolli guesthouse for location outside the touristic area, still close enough to the village, up a hill offering nice view at the Nil. Nebro Guesthouse is better if you wish to wake up right beside the river, in the heart of the village but quiet enough.

After Giza and Cairo, Aswan was more relaxing.
After Giza and Cairo, Aswan was more relaxing. I enjoyed Kafana Guesthouse, Nubian Museum, Abu Simel and a wonderful felucca ride arranged by Kafana Guesthouse. Philae Temple was fine too. I really enjoyed eating at Makani at the ferry stop. However my best meal in Egypt was at El Modesh in Abu Simel. Delicious fish and a special rice dish. And cheap!

There is much to enjoy in Aswan-Philae Temple, Botanical Gardens,Nubian Village, the main Market. Further afield there is access to Abu Simbel.
Just going around town trying the different drinks on offer is quite nice from fresh juices , like pomegranite ,strawberry, lemon with Mint, or Sudanese or Turkish coffee or different Teas like ginger and lemon. The atmosphere is vibrant. One think I found difficult was finding places to eat. Ended up in Macdonalds a couple of times however that didn't open till 1pm in the afternoon. Good air conditioning though

I was not all that impressed with Aswan itself, but it is a great location from which to start a river cruise down the Nile, It is also a good location to make a 1 day visit to Ibu Simbel, although it is a 3 1/2 hour bus ride to that location from Aswan. If you re wanting to viit Ibu Simbel, I would rather recommend a two night stay in the town of Ibu Simbel, so that you can visit the temples outside of the crowded times . Take a tour of the Nubian villages upstream from Aswan on the Nile. They were worth the trip, plus you might get to see the school and get taught to count in Arabic

EVERYTHING was simply perfect! The food was the BEST we had in Egypt. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, clean, and eco friendly which we love! The service and hospitality far surpasses any 5 star hotel. Tamir proactively arranged our airport transfer, a romantic sunset dinner along the Nile, and even accommodated an extended stay for us all before we even left the USA. We would have stayed longer if our trip allowed, we loved Ayujidda so much. This must not be missed!
This hotel was great, located in a quiet place next to the Nile. Just amazing. Unfortunately we stayed only one night, so we didn't have the time to truly appreciate where we were. If I return to Aswan, for sure I am booking here again. The staff was awesome, very kind and willing to provide you with a great service.
Excellent location, fantastic staff who were friendly and helpful all across at front desk and in the restaurant. I would make a special mention of Mariam , Maria and Mathew. Beautifully and very thoughtfully designed interiors..walking distance to Nubian museum is a great bonus..also to old cataract hotel..
The hotel team makes you feel at home. Tamer and his team were just lovely and did take a lot of care of us. It is located in opposite of Aswan across the Nile and gives you a wonderful impression of the Nubian side of Egypt. Totally recommendable!
Everything was amazing, from the friendly host to the entire vibe of the place. And it's hard to forget to amazing food provided. What started as a booking made on a whim ended up being the best part of my holiday to Egypt
