The hotel is very well situated, close to the canal which is the main shopping and dining area. The staff is simply great, very accommodating and friendly. The hygiene was excellent, the rooms were very clean, bath towels were changed every day. The wifi was very strong too. Very good value for money.

Great location for the train station (3mins walk) and the restaurants of Sète. Also very convenient for us to drop our hire bikes back that we'd picked up in Bordeaux. Helpful staff member too, clean room, good shower and nice quiet AC which was perfect for a good night's sleep.

The train station is located near the town centre and the street lined avenue in to town is gorgeous, added to this the canals and buildings overlooking them along with the back streets and squares makes Sète and beautiful place to visit.

A charming town in the south of France surrounded by water.
A charming town in the south of France surrounded by water. Its beauty is enhanced by a network of canals lined with lovely old buildings. There is a plethora of restaurants along the main canal leading down to the port, where you can experience superb seafood, much of it locally caught.
A restaurant which I particularly liked is Chez Francois, where I enjoyed a simple but delicious lunch of 6 oysters and a glass of white wine.
One of the highlights of my visit was a boat trip which included the port, the lagoon and the famous Pointe Courte.
Sète is a relaxing, laid-back Mediterranean destination. That said, it may not be an ideal choice for those seeking a lively night-life scene.

Compared to Toulouse, Carcasonne and Nimes, Sete is much more downmarket and rundown in places. It is a working fishing town so don’t expect the pristine, elegant spaces of the other towns. I suspect it is mainly enjoyed for its beaches which I didn’t go to since the windy weather was still chilly.

Enjoyed the waterfront and the tour of the lagoon ( Etang ) also the Paul Valéry museum and Sete was a good contrast to Beziers and Carcassonne where we had visited previously. All very good but very different.

Sete is a lovely city with lots to see and do.
Sete is a lovely city with lots to see and do. Great restaurants and if you love seafood, this is the place to go. Shopping was decent and the outdoor market was very nice with lots to look at. We took a boat ride on the canals to see the city from the water perspective and that was very fun. We ate at a few of the restaurants along the canal.

A beautiful apartment greatly decorated. Super location and great hosts. It is also the first apartment that we have visited in France where the owners have thought about everything including the facility to wash and hang your clothes in a rack.
