United KingdomI thought the hotel personnel were very good, polite , happy and friendly. They were excellent. The room was a little small however it was adequate for my needs, being very clean and tidy (and kept like it by the attentive housekeeper.) The bed was comfy and I slept well. The view over the harbour from the bedroom was glorious. The breakfast was seriously tasty - very good and filling. Getting up in the morning and being a few yards away from the harbour and seafront for a walk before breakfast is very nice indeed. I would definitely give this hotel a thumbs up. well worth staying here.

United KingdomA perfect little gem, the ambience in the hotel is just lovely, Mike and Isling and their wonderful team made our anniversary long weekend very special. Our evening meal in the restaurant was delicious, we were looked after perfectly by their friendly staff. I’m sure lots of hard work goes into making their superb hospitality seem so effortless. It was a real treat staying here. Thank you

Gorey has history, a fabulous ,imposing ,interesting castle Mount Orgueil, beautiful harbour and beaches and great places to eat - Cafe Louise is a must place to eat when you get there. A very small port right under the castle, several cafes, restaurants and small hotels and not a great deal else, but frequent and affordable buses will get you all over the island. On the east side of Jersey Gorey is very picturesque with great views of the castle and harbour. There are shops a short walk away in the village and a fish n chip shop. Pizza Quarter in Gorey is a particularly good place to eat. We did walk from St Helier but the buses are regular and convenient and not expensive, especially if you get a day pass. We particularly enjoyed : the Zoo, Elizabeth Castle, Corbiere lighthouse, the War Tunnels and the Jersey Museum was a good place to start. St Brelade's Bay has to be one of the most beautiful beaches in existence. If it rains there is also a cinema in St Helier. We didn't visit Mont Orgueil Castle in Gorey this time but it looks very good for younger children.Guest review byRachelUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Great location. Excellent footpaths for walking. Mint Irgueil castle only minutes away by walking. Few hotel bars and restaurants. Frequent, regular and reliable bus service to St.Helier about half an hour in duration. Restricted parking but a large free car park is available a short walk from the hotel. Lovely walks around the harbour and seafront promenade. A mediaeval castle is on the hillside for exploring. Gorey is a good location for exploring as there is a good bus service- the castle is great and would definitely recommend a visit.
