The view from room 211 was superb. The ferry passed every half hour, and we had a grandstand view of the shipping movements, aided by using the Marine Traffic app.

United KingdomThe location was very good, with a fantastic view over the water and ferryport from the windows and balcony. The location was convenient for walking into town for shops etc. The cabin was charming, with a lovely cosy atmosphere and the welcome pack was a thoughtful touch.

A Wonderful Stay in Rothesay (Despite the Luggage Adventure!) Rothesay has so much to offer — from its stunning scenery to the friendly, welcoming people. We were pleasantly surprised by how much there is to do, including plenty of live music around town. The ferry was reliable and made getting there easy. While British Airways unfortunately lost our luggage for a full week, we were grateful to find some excellent clothing shops and well-stocked drugstores right in town to help us get by. The restaurants were a highlight — we especially enjoyed our meals at the Kingarth Hotel. Driving around the Isle of Bute was easy and incredibly scenic. Lovely to visit, and stay giving you time to explore...a few nice places to eat, some that are dog friendly....nice drive to Ettruck Bay bur sadly the wee cafe place there is closed...hopefully that will change..
