Stayed one night as competing at Burghley Triathlon extremely early the next morning. Lovely hosts who provide a warm welcome, easily accommodating and helpful around timings with good communication well in advance of booking. Also some very considerate and muchly appreciated touches for breakfast and cold drinks! Would have loved to have spent more than the one night or some of the next day to chill out and enjoy the space but had to head home sharp. Apartment was cosy, clean and tempting me to stay another night just to get a sleep away from the stress of home. Secluded parking spot was super helpful as well.

Beautiful place - the old architecture is lovely to see , and it is great to see the town hasn't lost it's unique character. It was a pleasure to walk around seeing all the old buildings, and the people I met in the shops made me feel welcome. Being on my own there in the evening I felt safe - long may that continue.

Stamford is very picturesque. The Cotswolds without the crowds. The people are very friendly and helpful if needed. Must pay a visit to the Tobie Norris pub, a step back in time, full of character. Full of historical buildings and churches

It is a delightful town to wander round. The churches are interesting, with lovely stained glass. St. Martin's contains the tomb of William Cecil, Lord Burghley. The George is a great place to dine in style and comfort. The park is lovely. The people we met were friendly and helpful. Lots of super shops.

The William Cecil Hotel originally three separate 18th century houses which lie within the Burghley Estate reflecting the historic picturesque Lincolnshire market town of Stamford. Wonderful relaxing evening.Staff super friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. We didn’t require dinner but staff created delicious cheese platter for us which we were able to enjoy sitting by the fire with a quality glass of wine. The pub/hotel is set in a beautiful picturesque village and so convenient to Stamford.
