Room was fantastic! It was a good size, tea/coffee facilities excellent, bathroom very clean with added bonus of Molton Brown products.

In gardens and woodland, the Hare & Hounds is a charming, traditional English country house hotel, with a popular restaurant and bar. The Westonbirt National Arboretum is half a mile away.

A peaceful property hence my return visit. My stay was to attend a festival at Westonbirt and travel to the event was provided which was much appreciated.

Upon arrival there was plenty of on site parking and we were warmly greeted by the owner Jackie and shown to the guest room. Beautiful location and the room exceeded expectations. Very comfy bed, bathroom very modern with lovely shower. Plenty of tea/coffee/water were provided in the room and I am sure if more were required this would have been provided. You could tell that the breakfast was made from quality ingredients and very tasty. All in all Jackie could not do enough for you and would highly recommend a stay here and we would certainly consider staying again. Lovely surrounding area to explore as well

The landlady Jo greeted my wife and I with a huge smile and this totally refreshing attitude 'summed up' the whole stay at The Queen Matilda. The room was great and the breakfast absolutely first rate. And Jo could not have been more helpful in, inter alia, advising us on local places to visit

It was just a lovely place. The rooms were lovely and clean.

Our room was off the courtyard where we ate lunch. A fan was provided as it was very hot weather.

The Bear of Rodborough is located on Rodborough Common within the acres of beautiful National Trust land where cows roam free each summer.
