Whether it’s the aromas of traditional khinkali and fresh-baked bread wafting through the streets, or the spontaneous folk music echoing from courtyards, the city feels alive, yet wonderfully relaxed. The locals are genuinely friendly, and it's easy to strike up conversations or get helpful tips. Safety is another major plus. Walking the streets late into the evening feels completely secure, even in quieter neighborhoods. What to say!?
What to say!? I have never been so seduced and drawn in to a city so quickly. I initially booked for ten days in Georgia, using Tbilisi as a base, which I extended to three weeks, and now looks like almost three months! I have genuinely never felt safer and more comfortable in a place as a female solo traveller. Getting around, either by public transport or Bolt is very straightforward and affordable. The vibe of the old town is inspiring and artistic, filled with creative people and really cool bars with what I'd call a bohemian vibe. Very relaxed and inviting - I got particularly attached to Muse and Daraba both on Vertskhil Street just inside the old city wall. Georgia itself has every thing you could need from a trip - sea, mountains, and an amazing capital - I'm not sure I'll ever go anywhere else!Guest review byNatalieUnited Kingdom - 10.0

As excellent place for a short holiday. Old tiblisi is beautiful , green, quaint and lovely for long walks by the river or aimless meandering sightseeing . At the same time it's modern enough with all comforts of a city , excellent transport options , safety and food. It's also a good base to plan day trips to surrounding tourist places like Kasbegi or Kaketi. Well organised day tours with English guide are easily available. You need to plan if you are a Vegan/vegetarian and generally be ready to eat lots of baked stuff ! I had some anxiety before going there, i read things online that almost made me cancel my plans, but I spent over 3 months there and it was nothing like what I read, I no problems, never felt unsafe and it is a quite a lovely positive place. Of course if you go there to be trouble maker or hang out with the wrong crowd, thats on you, if youre just a quiet simple traveler and tourist or digital nomad then you will have great experience. I am definitely going back as their countryside is really beautiful and historical landmarks are amazing. Its very modern there, there are old parts of the city in Tbilisi and new , streets are clean and tidy and wide and I felt like I walking in any modern western city around the worldGuest review byMichaelNew Zealand
