Super room on 3rd floor with balcony overlooking the bay. Easy parking in front of the apartment. Breakfast was off site at a sister complex some 8 minutes walk but was worth the walk. A super feast with 3 items off the menu. The greek yogurt with walnuts and thyme honey is fantastic and became a staple for the rest of our 2 weeks in Kefalonia. Shops and dining are all within easy walking from the apartment. Excellent fish only restaurant down by the walkway over the bay called Aristofanis. Argostoli is a fun town, with great shopping and food.
Argostoli is a fun town, with great shopping and food. The vibe is upbeat, the people are welcoming and there is a lot within walking distance. There is a great variety of shops, from the usual tourist souvenir shops to some truly fine artisan shops. There's a car ferry that takes about 20 minutes to cross over to Lixouri for more sightseeing. Good roads in and out of town and Sky Express is a good choice to fly from Athens to the Kefalonia airport, should you want to skip a long ferry ride. Easy car rental after the flight but a good idea to reserve ahead if you need an automatic as most cars in Greece are manual transmission. All in all we found Argostoli to be a place we would definitely return to on the beautiful island of Kefalonia.Guest review byEileenUnited States - 10.0
Like staying in the town as near airport.
Like staying in the town as near airport. Get a car from the airport and drive there in 15 mins. Like to go to different beaches/walks in the day and then dump car and wander around in the evening. Perfect.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

We chose Argostoli as being the capital thought there would be more restaurants and bars open as Cruise ships were coming in when we were there. But when we visited other villages on the islamd they also seemed quite busy so it might be possible to stay elsewhere in October. We had a fantastic 3-day stay at Erato Apartment in Argostoli! The apartment was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location was very good, with a lovely view, close to the Argostoli town center but still quiet for a relaxing stay.
