Being slightly outside the city centre with a free shuttle bus was great. The views from the rooftop was amazing and all four pools gave us the opportunity to be in or out of the sun when we wanted. The view of the acropolis from our balcony was lovelyThe grand club lounge was fabulous and exactly what we needed when wanting a quiet, calm space to relax and chill. The staff were really lovely. The fillet steak for two in the rooftop restaurant was the best I’ve ever tasted…. Well worth it!

The breakfast was good.. The room looked tired, but it was clean. The waste pipe from the rooms above came down through our tiny shower room. Every time someone flushed the toilet, we heard it.

With the Acropolis as the jewel in the archaeological crown of Athens, this city is full of history whilst embracing the future. Take a stroll back in time through the neoclassical streets of the Plaka, where you will find tavernas serving tantalising souvlaki and mousaka, street vendors and live entertainment.
A trip to the Parthenon and the Agora top most lists and can also be appreciated from a distance by walking along the Dionysiou Aeropagitou street, which is away from the busy crowds downtown.
Changing the guard occurs every hour on the famous Syntagma Square. From here Ermou Street provides shopaholics with a fashionable retail sanctuary. The up-market districts of Kolonaki and Kifisia are also bursting with fancy boutiques, galleries and bars.
Athens contains some of the finest museums in the world such as the National Archaeological, Acropolis and Benaki Museums. From Athens International Airport to the Port of Piraeus, this is a city bustling with the old and new. On Booking.com you can find everything from modern hotels to a room in a classical building.
I love Athens. The beauty and the 'grime' go hand in hand, the food is tremendous, the sunsets glorious, the freedom of movement around the city either walking and by train is enlivening (take care of personal items e.g wallet on the subway lines!). My fifth visit.

Yes, I know that 4 days is a short time, but it was incredible short. I barely had time to visit Acropolis. For really active and no-resting vacation four days might be OK, but I would really recommend to stay 5-8 days there to see the basic things even once (Syntagma, Omonio, Monastiraki, beaches, Arcopolis)

Athens, a testimony to the ancient civilization, was an eye opener for me. Its monuments, statues and history ravaged by the waves of invaders was very sad to witness, similar to Indian scenario.
ATH Passport control was very quick. Athens shops and restaurants, with their long working hours is good for tourists. We enjoyed the food fare in Bakeries and Restaurants. Koukaki, Bread Factory, Lou Kou Mania Doughnuts, Vegan Beat for Tzatziki starters, Omonoia Juice corner were fantastic gastronomical experiences.
We used the Buses and Taxi services without much of waiting. However, the buses do not accept cash which is a let-downer. Our favorite spots were Syntagma Square, Koukaki apartment, Omonoia and Artemida Beaches. Athens Riviera stretch visit can be improved with more tourist amenities with some shaded areas, parks etc.
At the famous places such as Acropolis and Ancient Agora, I request the Culture department to put some direction boards which will make it easy for Tourists to navigate and save time. Also at the National Archaeological Museum, we arrived a couple of hours before the scheduled slot, but they would not let us in. For International tourists like us wherein time and cost factors are premium, the Museum officials can show some flexibility in entry times.
People are quite friendly, cheerful and helpful especially to us, as I practiced some Greek language phrases prior to arrival in Greece. Overall, Athens experience is amazing and very memorable.

Athens was very run down and dirty, difficult to walk around safely, everything broken and its like a european Burma , third world we felt sorry for the locals, food not as fresh and plentiful as might think it should be for a capital city. The ruins and museums are not well organised and the staff are across all sites rude and impatient with tourists for no reason, the prices of everything are way too high for any sense of value . Also the ruins have not been looked after and in many cases damaged by restoration. we regret going to the acropolis its a nightmare

Athens ,while chaotic, has a life of its own and to wander around with the background of the Acropolis and casually view in passing the Olympic Stadium and many more ancient wonders gives you a unique feeling. It is an extraordinary city with extraordinarily pleasant citizens where you will get a buzz just being part of it all.

- Excellent location in the heart of Athens. The surrounding streets are crammed with traditional tavernas and restaurants, many with Acropolis views.
- The rooms are nicely decorated and clean. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable.
- They pay attention to detail in their breakfast with all their items being freshly made and delicious.
It is a very nice hotel the staff are so kind and helpful. Would recommend to go and visit here add this to your tour of Greece.
The location of Phaedra is perfect, on the edge of the Plaka district, within easy walking distance of many of Athens' best attractions. 10minutes walk from Syntagma square where the metro and bus from the airport stops.
The view from the rooftop is amazing, perfect for having your own sundowner there (note, there is no bar at the top so you have to take your own drinks/snacks).
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
We chose this hotel after checking out the area, and we weren’t disappointed. We wanted to extend our honeymoon in Greece, and Eternity was the best choice. We really enjoyed the rooftop on the 7th floor, which was so romantic at night with views of both the Acropolis and Mount Lycabettus. The room was amazing, with all the comforts you could ask for, and the staff was more than attentive. We would definitely come back.
Fabulous little hotel right in central Athens , great value for money, close to everything - Acropolis, Monastiriki, the Plaka & Syntagma Square - all within walking distance, very clean rooms with a lovely breakfast & staff are very lovely & helpful. So easy to get to/from airport on the metro from Syntagma square. Will stay here again for sure.
The bathroom and shower were were one of the best we have had in Greece. This premises is new and we may have been the first to use it. Great tv. New tech lighting and controls. Very help full staff. Main street Ermou in Athens and close to mostly everything.
