As a lover of small and family run old-school hotels, I found Sunset charming and truly enjoyable. The breakfast and swimming pool terraza and garden feel so homey and a bit old-school grand. The staff are Amazing, So helpful and truly kind and smiling. Breakfast was excellent. They called a taxi for me and the driver was also excellent. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Balcony is a lovely plus!

We loved Corfu Town, although it was a little bit hillier than expected. We typically holiday with my parents, and had they been able to come on this occasion I would have been concerned about how my Mum would have coped with some of the steps and cobbles. That said, once reasonably familiar with getting in/out of the town there are alternative routes. Just be mindful of your footing. The town is a rabbit warren of streets, but getting lost and finding your way around was part of the fun in familiarising yourself with your surroundings, and means you pass lots of lovely shops, bars, cafes and restaurants.
Swimming in the bay below the Old Fort became a daily treat.
Restaurants we would recommend are: Achilleas Traditional Taverna, Aegli (both in Corfu town), Vesuvio (Italian in Gilford)
Bars we would recommend: Alle Koukou (Mitropoleos Square), Chavez and Dell'Acque (both in Corfu Town), Cale Larga (Gilford)
We would not recommend the day cruise to Paxos, which is a shame because Paxos is beautiful and the swim stop off was magical, but the 7 hour round trip by boat is way too long and just not worth it.

Corfu town is dynamic, chaotic and a beautiful historic venetian port town with so many cultural facets. There is a rich faith and history here. I thought the Corfiots were lovely, charming and helpful. The Holy Church of the Virgin Mary Limniotissa displays some very beautiful 6th and 7th century iconography art, well worth seeing. It was worth the mild inconvenience such as narrow driving streets and the mid June 2025 heat to enjoy this gem. The luggage storage kiosk was helpful!

get into the old town and dont be put off by the crowds.
get into the old town and dont be put off by the crowds. The best restaurants are not always the ones in the guides or that the taxi drivers recommend but the result of your own exploration: there are so many and the competition is fierce so the quality is high.
The fort and the climb to the lighthouse is a must. The density and breadth of the Venetian architecture is breathtaking and unique providign a cinematic backdrop further enhanced by the incredibly relaxed, welcoming and tolerant locals.

So pretty, bigger than we thought. Stroll through back streets, beautiful bougainvillea everywhere. Harbour, fortress for views, food market on Saturdays. Short boat trip for €5 each to Vido walk through pine forest and paddle on beach, uninhabited island. Eat in quiter spots.

The most picturesque place I've seen so far- romantic terracotta houses, blooming trees & flowers everywhere, swallows in the sky! We stayed in the very end of May-beginning of June, and the timing was perfect- not too hot, not too many tourists. Spent some 1.5 days exploring the streets of old Corfu town, new & old fortresses, then had a boat trip for one day and a trip to Achilleon palace & a private wine tour to the Theotoky estate on the last day of visit. We had a wonderful time!

The location of this hotel is the best - absolutely in the centre of everything, the lanes the main shops, restaurants taxi rank and touristy things. its worth the price. We have stayed before, we walk to the fish market but several meals worth of amazingly fresh fish, and best of all, the hotel reception pop it into their cold store till our car hire is delivered to move on to our villa. That's what I call Service.
Very good and comfortable hotel.
It’s clean.
Staff at the reception is very approachable, aswell at the hotel bar, pool bar and beach bar. Big professionals.
Very easy to come to centre of Corfu Town by bus. station is near the hotel.
