The location and atmosphere of the site are spectacular rather than the ruins themselves which are, sadly, not great compared with many Greek/ Hellenistic sites elsewhere in the Mediterranean region. But there is an excellent museum. All in all, it's good for 3 hours, tops. Delfoi is wonderful but small.
Delfoi is wonderful but small. If you’re coming to see the ruins and the museum, both can be done in one day. A second set of ruins I had planned to visit were closed for refurbishment. I drove up from Athens and spent the night since I like meeting the locals and I wanted to take my time at the site which means visiting it twice. There's no official audio guide use SmartGuide. Delphi is great after about 2:30pm and before 10am... once...
Delphi is great after about 2:30pm and before 10am... once the busses start arriving on those long day trips from Athens (3hours each way), it becomes rather horrible (and this was in February!!!). Definitely recommend taking the KTEL bus up and staying over for a night at least. The archeological site closes at 3:30 (maybe this is winter only- check!!). From about 3/4 hour before closing time they restrict entry to top part of the site on the basis that you wont have time to get there and still be out by closing. Ideally, I would suggest getting to the museum at opening time, go for a long lunch once the busses get there and try the archeological site as the busses start their trips back to Athens. Getting reservation on the bus can be problematic- I found the bus station i Athens v helpful. Book both ways.Guest review byChris KAustralia - 10.0

We really enjoyed our trip to Delfoi!
We really enjoyed our trip to Delfoi! We stayed 2 nights, which was perfect as we arrived after a full day of driving. We had a beautiful view from our balcony, which took the pressure off finding a restaurant which allowed this same view. Our hotel room was small and older, but very clean and comfortable at the Sibylla Hotel. We drove in to town, but never used our car once we had arrived. The town is easily walk-able, including a short distance to the museum and archaeological site. We are in our 60s and not in the best shape, but easily managed the walk and steps to the sites. We enjoyed a wonderful meal at a local restaurant, but we did go slightly off the beaten path to compare prices at the restaurants in Delfoi. Fantastic addition for anyone interested in history and beautiful views in Greece.Guest review byShevaunCanada
