The staff were excellent and the location worked really well as there was a quite traditional restaurant close by and we managed to park the car at the hotel. My brother had a refurbished room which was good. The shower was hot and the water was plentiful. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked very well. The breakfast was pretty good with plenty of it.

We booked this hotel, but upon arrival we were told that we have been upgraded to Elounda Beach - their next-door sister hotel. Our stay there was everything we hoped for and beyond. The room was spacious with a wide balcony. The sandy beach with crystal clear water and perfect temperature. The restaurants with diverse and delicious food, coupled with great service. It was our only stay where we had a half-board but with diner at al a carte restaurants, including fine dining. We will definitely come back!

Amazing!!
It’s comfortable, welcoming, and impeccably clean — but what truly sets it apart is the exceptionally rare quality of service.
From the family who owns the hotel to the entire staff, we were treated like royalty.
Don’t hesitate to try the two restaurants and the cocktail bar, also run by the family — the quality is just as outstanding.
Thank you so much for this wonderful stay — I’ll be back with great pleasure!

We stayed at Phaea Palace during the last part of our honeymoon, and while the hotel is beautiful and has some great things going for it, we left with mixed feelings—mainly because for the price we paid, we expected a much better overall experience.
The room was nice, but honestly, we’ve stayed in better rooms for less (like Domus Noruz in Chania, for example). The private bathtub was completely closed off inside the bathroom, which made it hard to enjoy—it felt like we were stuck in a box, with no view or ambiance. The balcony and private pool area the is great—large and perfect for relaxing—however it lacked privacy, since people from other rooms and those walking by could see us pretty easily.
The hotel itself is gorgeous, no doubt, but the rooms feel a bit dated when compared to some of the other places we stayed during this trip. On the bright side, the beach area is also beautiful and well-kept.
The staff were all friendly, but our check-in experience wasn’t great. We weren’t walked through any of the hotel’s offerings—they just told us to download an app to find everything ourselves, which felt a bit impersonal, especially for a high-end stay.
There are lots of services available (massages, treatments, etc.), but everything is very expensive. We had imagined this would be the most special and luxurious hotel of our honeymoon—we saved up to spend our last few nights here—but instead, it felt like we were in a place where everything came at an extra (and high) cost.
So in short: if you have a flexible budget and don’t mind paying extra for every little thing, this might be a good fit. But if you’re like us—looking for something truly memorable and worth the investment—I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

We enjoyed Elounda although we spent most of the time in our suite. We are 78 and 73 respectively and the walk into the town of elounda took us about 40 minutes which was no problem. The town is very nice with plenty of places to eat and drink and we enjoyed our boat trip to the small island of Spinilonga which was very interesting. There are plenty of taxis and the cost of getting back to our accommodation was roughly 11 euros

Elounda is a small town with plenty of shops and restaurants in a small area surrounding part of a bay. There are no high-rises and despite its popularity it maintains the impression of a quiet fishing village without the big hotels. A very relaxing place to stay.

My highlights of Elounda included the trip to Spinalonga, the Little Train trip to Plaka and two traditional hillside villages, walking up the hill to Mary’s Kitchen and the traditional village. I ate at Dimitris, Nikos and Leonidas and all were good.

Elounda is a very chilled friendly and safe resort.
Elounda is a very chilled friendly and safe resort. I have visited as a solo visitor and with family and friends, all have enjoyed the location. If you want a noisy nightlife place it’s not for you. The scenery is beautiful, a trip up the mountains to Plaka and Spinalonga is a must. Nearby Ag Nik is easy also, the buses are 2euros ,very clean and air conditioned.

Gewnerally a quiet resort with plenty of shops and good restaurants at reasonable prices. No big hotels in town (some about 1 mile outside but not visible from the harbour) plenty of apartments in town. Views are superb wherever you go and ferries leave for Spinalonga every 30 minutes. Good walking along the sea-front to Plaka (about 3 miles away and the nearest town to Sninalonga. Public transport is also very good (bus).

Great location such an easy short walk into main areas of Elounda for beach, restaurants, shopping. bars in fact all the facilities you could need in a holiday area.
Our apartment was exactly what we wanted for our relaxing two month stay. Amazing friendly and very helpful hosts and family. Great housekeeping duo a lovely clean apartment with a comfortable bed and good shower room. Our balcony overlooked the garden, bedroom was quiet and air conditioning good. We loved our time at Emilia Apartments and Elounda we will definitely return .

It's our third time to Elounda and we only just discovered this amazing hotel in the middle of this charming town, hidden in plain sight. With very high end furnishings, a well-laid out bathroom, nice towels, comfy bed and big balcony. They also provided lots of coffee, water and other treats (even a chocolate cake) with twice-a-day maid service. And the beach is only a three minute stroll away...

The hotel is beautiful, and the location is amazing—about 1.5 km from Elounda but without the hustle and bustle. There are stunning views of the sea from every corner, and the room was amazing—it included all the comforts, a great shower, and a balcony with a view of the bay. The breakfast was amazing, with a great variety of food, including traditional delicacies and of course, views of the bay.

For me the location was good because I had to reach a place nearby. However, the hotel is about 10-15mins walk from the town center of Elounda. Price was ok compared to other hotels in Elounda.
