The central area of the beach is too busy even in the beginning of September. The beach is long enough to find a place for you self, but you should spend dome more minutes walking to get a little bit out of the town or to use a car. We visited in September and the water was just right for swimming, likely due to the end of summer, though it varied with the weather. Some days the water was clear, while other days it was wavy. This beach is surrounded by several supermarkets, fruit stands, restaurants, and boutiques. The view of Mount Olympus is beautiful. It is also easy to get around Olympiaki Akti and the nice thing about this place is the quietness at night as vehicles are parked away from the apartments. A pleasant little place with a wonderful view of the sea but also of Mount Olympus, quiet, clean streets, large sandy beaches, friendly local people, well-stocked shops and bakeries. All for a good holiday are here, and we can realize how few think we need: water, sand, sun. Not crowdy, ideal for families. Several food shops and restaurant nearby. Who wants more more shopping possibilities and entertainment, on less then 3 km will find it.
