The restaurants served all types of food which was very tasty and at good prices. It’s nice to travel by boat to the nearby islands for a fair price. We have been coming here for a number of years, having also tried other Greek islands we decided that this was far superior than most. Locals are very friendly and welcoming, lots of choices to eat, delicious fresh food everywhere you go, lots of lovely beaches to try out, some of which have absolutely spectacular views of sunsets . Skiathos town has everything.
Skiathos town has everything. Great tavernas to suit everyone's pocket. A couple of bars with live bands. Great shops. Lovely cobbled streets to walk round. Lovely town with lots of character.
Lovely town with lots of character. Great selection of bars and restaurants. Best restaurants and bars are in the back streets off Padadiamante. Bars / restaurants on promenade are Ok and good for people watching but get into back streets for better. Not overly big so easily walkable. Amazing number of tavernas and restaurants offering a huge variety of Greek cuisine and hospitality. There are a number of fascinating museums and galleries and many quintessentially Greek shops offering a mix of local crafts and standard tourist tat. Great transport links to other islands and Greek mainland. Recently upgraded bus network is excellent and easy to navigate.
