I really enjoyed my stay and highly recommend it. Great ambiance - the highlights were the staff, namely the service we received from one of the personnel, which unfortunately I do not recall his name, and the great garden. I recommend one improvement to the check-in process. The instructions for the self-service check-in arrived late and only by mail and it was difficult to get phone assistance. A wonderful surprise for us.
A wonderful surprise for us. We were planning to stay over for one night to break up a long drive and thoroughly enjoyed the place. It has an amazing vibe, beautiful city centre and a lot of places to shop and eat. If you are planning to go by car, and park in the city, it's easiest to use parking buildings, as street parking only accepts Hungarian forints.Guest review byVladimirSerbia - 10.0
We were in Gyor during snowy December morning.
We were in Gyor during snowy December morning. The city is very nice, with a very big historic core for its size and many alive streets and shops comparing to other cities of this size in the region. Plus, it is much cheaper comparing bigger cities in vicinity. It seems that Gyor is somehow touristicly "invisible" from bigger cities nearby - Vienna, Budapest, and Bratislava. It has beautiful baroque architecture, fasionable shops, great restaurants and cake shops to die for. The people are lovely and very helpful. Taxis are relatively cheap. The only down side was the cobbles which get very slippy in the rain.Guest review byRosemaryIreland
