Veszprem is a small city, with some very impressive architecture, and interesting history. Also a nice place to just explore . The area along the riverside which passes the bottom entrance to the zoo then reaches a really nice park is a favoured walk for us . The centre has a good selection of restaurants catering to a variety of tastes and budgets . One thing to be aware of is that lunch is the Hungarian main meal of the day , therefore we have a couple of times tried to get a meal a bit later on the evening , depending on the time of year or day of the week that has sometimes been hard to find . Getting around , we can walk anywhere it’s a compact city . We generally get a lift from family to and from Station, after that we walk , if your fairly fit and can walk for about an hour I think you won’t need public transport but it is available if required . We are 3 adults so can’t say what children would like other the zoo and ice cream shops which are very good .Guest review byKarenUnited Kingdom - 6.0
I was there to see a band at Gyárkert, a venue in Veszprém.
I was there to see a band at Gyárkert, a venue in Veszprém. I explored the old town a bit but, at most, it should only take you 2 hours to get through the whole thing. Balaton Plaza was a disappointment and only had a few stores. I would recommend staying in Veszprém for two days at most.Guest review bySHARON CHONSouth Korea
