WiFi was working very good (they have few different ones). 2 swimming pools with view on the sea, and the breakfast was sensational. Hot water in the shower. An open wardrobe so you can easily store your stuff. We were there while they didn't have other guests so it was super nice.

The Merlinhotel is very well situated: close to market and nice restaurants. The rooms are very comfortable. The streetnoice where so many people complained about is hardly hearable in your room. Good wifi and very helpfull and friendly staff.

we were there in low season, so we were lucky to book a nice timber seafront cottage with straw roof and spacious wooden terrace. we preferred the timber bungalows. first row is the best the sea is close-by and one has an uninterrupted sea view. the bed is firm. the room has ac. and a large fridge. this bungalows is exactly as shown on booking.com the common outside dining area is a bit spartan, there is a sort of bar area, but because there were only 4 guests this area was empty. all this will look nicer if there are more guests. there is a dive hire store, but no boat. a few scooters available to rent. (i would reserve one in advance) Large very affordable Bintangs available, the food is the same as everywhere else. booking.com writes about a pool, but it is only the sea, which is safe to swim in. they also say that the bungalows have side sea view, also untrue, they have full frontal sea views. Jasmin is the senior staff woman, and she is very helpful and speaks very good english.

Secluded, comfortable tropical villa with beauty in every detail. Nested in a lush garden full of flowers and birds. Very comfortable (AC, hot shower, fridge, kettle). The terrace overlooking the lush garden is perfect for relaxing, read a book or have a nap. Ramona and her family were gracious and helpful hosts and can organise transport, bike rental, dinners, beers, etc. Nice breakfast, served on the terrace, with fruits from their garden. Ramona also cooked nice dinners for us. 5 mins walk to the local beach, whilst not spectacular it is quiet, with calm waters and nice snorkelling. Good location to go diving and snorkelling to the local islands (we recommend Santai divers only 20mins away). A bit difficult to find first time (ask Ramona for directions or a map beforehand!). The neighbours can be a bit noisy, but nothing that annoyed us.

Attention to detail in decorations! All the little beach decorations that you’ll find all around the resort and rooms. The location is absolutely gorgeous and the food was very fresh. Snorkeling trip was very nice and highly recommended!
