I only had a short time and was involved in a programme so I did not see much of Cork. I did enjoy having coffee and a scone at The Address [Ambassador Hotel[ which has a wonderful view of the city from a hill and nice outdoor seating on a good day at the restaurant. There are many things to do and see in Cork- but I didn't get to go to them on this short visit. Not to mention it's the gateway for beautiful West Cork.

Cork is a great place to go great food great pubs hotels can be very pricey. Taxis should be booked in advance or book somewhere that's walking distance. Alot of places do quick food mainly burger and chips. Not many places do carvery dinners. Alcohol is expensive between €6/€7 a pint. Not sure how much spirits are and certain pubs can refuse people that order whisky captain Morgan. Voodoo rooms is a nightclub can be fun. Lots of coffee shops vape shops pharmacy's.Dunnes stores and Tesco are the cheapest shops to do grocery shop. Lidl is great shop for buying items like message gun they have new products every month. Cork City is easy to get around just walk around the place and you find the shops if you get lost just ask locals for help. Beware there is alot of junkies and winos around cork some can be aggressive some can be sneaky will ask what time it is will try steel your phone. Never give them money.

The hotel is situated a short walk from a bridge to take you into the city centre, it is located in a quiet area but a short distance to the hustle and bustle. Our room was exceptionally clean with all the facilities you would expect such as hot drinks, hair dryer etc. The bed was a little small for our liking but each to their own as it was comfortable. The staff were very happy to help and breakfast was buffet style but freshly cooked with a good selection.

We loved the location of this hotel - a 5 minute walk into the city centre - and the comfort and spaciousness of our room. The beds were really comfortable, with a firm mattress and pillows that my back definitely appreciated. There seem to be many facilities at the hotel too, though we didn't have time to use any.

Met by a friendly member of staff, we stayed two nights here as part of our Road Trip round Ireland. A good location very close to the city centre, but in a quiet residential area, parking at the Guesthouse.
Great spotless room with a nice en-suite.
BEST breakfast of the whole Road Trip.
