Overall a great place to stay however front desk had problems communicating in English. In addition request for blankets for star gazing. It was calming and quiet.
It was calming and quiet. Hot During the day but beautifully cool from the late afternoon until.the morning. There's enough to do for a few days stay. Good sources of food available from homemade breads, quiches, desserts and sandwiches to "al ha'esh to upscale. 2 1/2 hours drive from Jerusalem. The night sky tours are spectacular (except during full moon!) The MR visitors Center has a wonderful program, definitely worthwhile. Mitzpe Ramon has many unique features especially if you are a space enthusiast, thanks to low light pollution you can often see a shooting star. there are great extreme riding opportunities inside the creator. Mitzpe Ramon is magical.
Mitzpe Ramon is magical. You can enjoy a different view depending on the time of day. Make sure you get to see the sunset on the promenade and watch the mountains change colors. There are many trails - the easiest is to walk along the promenade. If you want to hike, make sure you take plenty of water and a good trail map. You can get info at the visitors center - which is well worth visiting. They have a lovely light show exhibition that explains how this erosion crater "machtesh" was formed. The crater is a geological wonder. It is also fun to see the ibexes (mountain goats) walking down the streets of the city.Guest review byHiking ReflexologistUnited States

Serene garden, with everything in walking distance including groceries, eateries, little parks. Proximity to crater not an exaggeration... was so nice to walk out the door and be standing over Israel's Grand Canyon in 2 minutes. Stunning vistas, great hiking. The shower is spacious and you receive a nice kit of accessories. In the room there is coffee/tea and a small fridge. Beds were comfy and the balcony was nice.
