The staff especially at the front desk were very helpful and friendly - espcially Mringoy (not sure if I got the name spelt right) and Lalitha. Old and tired rooms with old and worn out furniture. Need renovation and a serious upgrade.

Chennai is not a city geared toward tourism. When we reached there the air port arrival section did not even offer wifi, we faced very uncomfortable situation due to this and was unable to use maps or taxi. The airport did not even have a booth where they provide sims. hence if you are travelling there be prepared. In addition when we went to a shop where they sell sims they were unable to give us one as one must have an Indian phone number to receive OTP. hence it was impossible for other nationalities to obtain a connection. this lead to may challenges. Majority of the taxi drivers and shop owner do not understand English. avoid Pondi Bazar for shopping and go to T Nagar, also be mindful of people who come begging for money and street vendors who are scammers.

There no room service, no intercom, no proper air conditioner, no cleaning person to clean the room. There’s no mat , while coming out from bathroom. The room is just like hell during our life time. Don’t take booking for the hotel. Your reputation will affect.

Chennai, on the Bay of Bengal in eastern India, is the capital of the state of Tamil Nadu. The city is home to Fort St. George, built in 1644 and now a museum showcasing the city’s roots as a British military garrison and East India Company trading outpost, when it was called Madras. Religious sites include Kapaleeshwarar Temple, adorned with carved and painted gods, and St. Mary’s, a 17th-century Anglican church.

The room was excellent with all the amenities. We were privided with the Club House at no extra cost. The staff was exceptionally polite and were able to rectify all our concerns politely. We were provided with all basic complimentary items during our stay like drinking water and all bathroom stuffs. The shower area was luxurious and the beds were well maintained. Hotel staffs were available in a rotational basis to fulfill all our needs. It was an one day stay for me and it was the best ever stay I ever had while staying in Chennai.

Though it's in prime location, the hotel resides in a heritage building. It's gives a peaceful time. It has direct buses to central railway station. The chennai metro(Estate) shop is in walk-able distance. It's possible to have a early morning walk in city's busiest mount road in silence. The 32B series city buses to Vivekananda House is a terminal stop & marina beach starts there. If you have a evening walk in the main road, plenty of non-veg restaurants available to every budget.

Great location to access the city of chennai.
Personal assistance would guid anything on the hotel which is an excellent service on top of everything. Kaamini assisted me great during my on the spot needs. Such as extending time and extra keys for my family members. She also mentioned locations at the hotels where I can enjoy more food drinks etc.
I have stayed in this hotel before as well. I chose this hotel every time I visit chennai.
I loved the location of this hotel, and staff were very hospitable in the hotel. Besides the room was very neat and tidy, and there are all the facilities in the room, such as towels, soaps, shower etc. Bed was also very cosy to sleep on. I feel that this is one of the top notch hotels in Chennai. A big thanks to the receptionists, for treating me with such hospitality.
