A beautifully renovated property in Mandawa, walking distance to the bazaar. My room was absolutely spotless, not a speck of dust. Comfortable bed, kettle etc, beautifully decorated, and a terrific bathroom. I had a hot bath, a delight after months of backpacking. It’s a small hotel with a handful of rooms, and lovely dining nooks. I had a room adjoining a relaxing outside sitting nook. The foot tastes delicious and is beautifully presented, many thanks to Lal Singh the chef. The manager is welcoming and will help plan your visit. Don’t miss sunset from the rooftop too. I stayed two nights over Holi, I could have easily stayed longer.

Mandaawa is a treasure house if you are looking for an out of the ordinary experience of Rajasthan. It is out the ordinary tourist belt of Jaipur, Udaipur and Jodhpur. The Shekhawati best is a treasure house of wonderfuly painted 'havelis'. They are indeed quite extraordinary.

Each Haveli has its own character so a short visit to all is recommended esp. Sone Chandi ki Haveli, Chobdar Haveli, Thalia, Murmuria.
A detour to Ramgarh, Nawalgarh and Mahansar ( for Sone ki Dukan) is highly recommended.
Food is great at Mandawa Kothi, Castle Mandawa and Vivaana Hotel.

Mandawa is old world charm - an open art walking museum that has stood the test of time and reminder of the opulence of the merchants that inhabited the area.
It has gained recent fame on account of all the mega block busters shot there.
You should visit Mandawa for its culture, a quaint small Indian town that you should walk about and appreciate all the art pieces, and taste delicious food
If Michelango painted the walls of Sevilla houses in interesting frescoes and that city got a huge hit of Indian culture (and animals wandering about), it would be Mandawa

Mandawa is a busy noisy dirty village with little to commend it, but it is well placed for visiting other towns and villages with Haveli's and temples.
We particularly like Junjhunu and Fatepur and a guide would be useful as sites are not easy to find.
In Fatepur Le Prince is completely shut up but the outdside is worth a look. However next door is a sign for a lawyer and we just walked into his Haveli which has some very well preserved and beautiful frescos. No charge, just a please and thank you. The entrance is through a small door in the big door. You may have to knock.

Nice little village with interesting Shekhwati havelis and wells. Actually, Nawalgarh, nearby is a more interesting town to visit.
Roads are good so no problem in driving around.

Wonderful stay, highly recommended!
+ Everything was perfect! The staff are super kind and attentive, the room and common spaces are beautiful and spotlessly clean, it’s quiet.
The staff really goes out of their way to ensure you are comfortable and have a great stay.
As a solo traveller I completely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Mandawa!
Very nice and helpful people running this place. Good food and atmosphere around the brasero on the terrace roof. Got welcomed help for a train booking. About a km from Mandawa’s collection of havelis. Would come again.
I felt most welcomed upon arrival, staff were very nice, friendly, informative and spoke English, felt at home here ,could spend hours admiring the paintings ,beautiful hotel,, dinner was delicious
