"My visit to Mysore was a wonderful experience. I was impressed by the city's rich cultural heritage, especially the grandeur of the Mysore Palace. The streets were clean, and the local people were warm and welcoming. I enjoyed exploring the bustling markets, trying the famous Mysore Pak sweet, and spending peaceful moments at the beautiful Chamundi Hills. Overall, Mysore offered a perfect blend of history, culture, and hospitality."

When I visited Mysore around 2015, it was one of the cleanest cities in India. But when I visited recently (2025 that is), the cleanliness has obviously dropped. In fact the city as a whole is quite dirty.
The palace was way too crowded even on a Monday as it was vacation time, and the worst part of it was removing the slippers in the wet and dirty area due to rain. They could have provisioned that better.
The Zoo is quite worth our time and so is the Payana car Museum.
We also went to the World of Mysore Pak, and got our hands on very authentic Indian sweets.

Mysore is an excellent place.
Mysore is an excellent place. Everything is so right about here.
Only problem is the government handled properties quite ironically accept only cash whereas today even the poorest pan shop and coconut vendors also accepting cash

We visited with my family, my parents and my mother-in-law to Mysore last summer. It was such a pleasant experience. When July is so hot in Chennai, it was a nice getaway to Mysore. The city is clean, free from moaquitoes unlike Chennai. The weather is neither too cold nor too hot and very pleasant. People were very kind and helpful. The Auto Rickshaw people charged nominal rates knowing that we were tourists which was pleasantly surprising as I do not see this in Chennai. Also most of them understood English, Tamil and Hindi and it shows how versatile even common people were in the city.
I would say it is a model place for other Indian cities.
I do not even remember any bad situation happened there. The crocodile park was excellant. We stayed at Dashprakash hotel and food was great!
Best place to Visit!!

Mysore is the crown jewel of Karnataka.
Mysore is the crown jewel of Karnataka. I wouldn't mind going here again and again. There's something about the city that draws us to it. This time around, since we had toddlers, we visited the Mysore Zoo, Karanji Lake, Mirror Maze, the Nexus Centre City mall, the Tonga ride and to see the Mysore Palace lit up at night.
Plenty of options available in terms of food. We usually prefer going to Gufha or Andhra Ruchulu. Best to goto either of these restaurants with a reservation, else, be prepared for wait times of 30 to 45 minutes. The Nexus Centre City mall has lot of options for foodies too (getting a seat might be a challenge though).

Also visit venu Gopal swami temple in the evening just around sunset. You get lovely pictures there. Chaumanda devi temple could be next day morning. We did not go to vrindavan garden due to heavy rush

I have stayed at dozen of hotels. This was on the top of the list of best stays/experiences ever. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Staff was incredibly helpful, extremely efficient and very hospitable. They went over and beyond to help make my stay enjoyable and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Mysuru.
Thank you so much.
What a modern and pleasant hotel in a nice area of Mysore ! The room had the best bed I ever had in India, was very well equipped and calm. Staff is very helpful and friendly and will do its best. The hotel restaurant is also recommendable, with good Indian dishes. On the whole this hotel surpassed my expectations, therefore absolutely recommendable.
Location is superb in terms of sightseeing (Mysore Zoo, Palace) is just 5min driver from hotel.
Staff is very cooperative and helpful. General Manager Mr. Siva, FOM Mr. Viresh and F&B Manager are excellent in their respective service.
Rooms are neat and specious.
Food is delicious.
Must recommended for Family and Business trips.
