Awesome location. Nice climate. A good location for someone who loves trekking. There are enough and more activities there to spend time. If you love to explore a place by walk this is a good place to visit. Roads are well maintained and the drive to the hilltop is mesmerising. Good place. Quite a few a activities to do around. Food became a problem. Didn't find a good veg restaurant with quality food. Very average food everywhere. Great and quick get away hill station if you are in Chennai or bangalore. Some good activites have come up in the recent times - like fundura, adventure sports etc. We stayed at Natures Trail Yelagiri, which in itself had trekking, great swimming pool, excellent food and affordable luxury rooms for families.Guest review byRam N - 10.0
Yelagiri is a small town, hence it is very easy to go-around...
Yelagiri is a small town, hence it is very easy to go-around if you have bike or car. One of my favorite place here is the Boat House in the week days, looks calm and peaceful. We loved everything about the hotel and Yelagiri.
We loved everything about the hotel and Yelagiri. Unlike Kodai and Ooty, the entire town, touristic places and the small villages around this area looked very clean and well maintained. I would also like to mention about the good well maintained road around this area. The only disappointing factor is that the restaurants in Yelagiri is closed after lunch and reopens only aroumd 7.30pm for light snacks like dosa’ idly etc, however few of the places do serve evening snacks like bajji and pakoras.
