Hofn is great, quiet and cosy, but I believe that staying in the nearby villages is even more comfy. The town has a few great restaurants, a really wonderful little pool with hot tubs. We loved this town and wish we had been able to stay 2 nights! It was rainy and foggy during our stay so could not really see the full beauty of it. We went to the tourist information center and were greeted by a very helpful women. We booked a family room and the space is alright and the facilities is just acceptable. The cabins were constructed next to a some kind of a truck workshop and the reception is 1km away. We had an outage and no electricty till the next morning. A great place to stop while driving the Ring Road. Very good restaurants nearby and a very good breakfast on the property. Excellent hotel and the front desk staff, Tereza was so helpful! I had booked 2 rooms because I had 3 people and Bookings.com said I had to have 2 rooms, when in fact there were 3 beds, so always doublecheck this with hotel. Hofn itself is a beautiful little town with a very nice restaurant in walking distance from the hotel.
