We enjoyed a glass of wine watching whales in front of our cottage. The town offers a nice pool and hot tub for a very reasonable price. The owners were excellent at responding our queries before our arrival. A quiet and beautiful spot.

Staying Eyri Seaside was awesome however, we were there on a Saturday night and there was only one place to eat and it didn’t open until 6:00 pm. It was good but, nothing else in town was open. The grocery store, the gas station, the liquor store were all closed. This hotel was easy to find off the main Route 1. Accommodation was on the basic side, however it was clean and tidy. 24/7 tea & coffee available from the dining area. Staff were friendly and assisted where necessary. Reasonable buffet breakfast. It is more on the expensive side compared to other hotels we had stayed in but due to its location, it appears to be reasonably priced. There is plenty of off road parking. A real Icelandic experience which I am so happy to have experienced. The host was very welcoming and friendly and told me a lot about sheep farming in Iceland.
